History: <ul><li>The corporate name was founded by the Warner brothers Harry Albert, Sam and Jack; Jews, who emigrated from Poland. </li></ul><ul><li>The three elder brothers began in the movie theatre business, having obtained a movie projector with which they showed films in the mining towns of Pennsylvania and Ohio. </li></ul><ul><li>They opened their first theater, the Cascade, in New Castle, Pennsylvania in 1903 </li></ul><ul><li>In 1927, the release of the world’s first “talking pictures,” (synchronized-sound feature film), “The Jazz Singer,” set a character and tone of innovation and influence that would become synonymous with the name Warner Bros. And--as Al Jolson foretold in this milestone movie--“you ain’t heard nothin’ yet!” </li></ul>

One of the popular films: I AM LEGEND <ul><li>I Am Legend is a 2007 film directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Will Smith </li></ul><ul><li>In am legend Smith plays virologist (a person who studies viruses and viral diseases) Robert Neville, who is immune to a vicious man-made virus originally created to cure cancer. He works to create a remedy while living in Manhattan in 2012, a city inhabited by violent victims of the virus. The film's plot is an example of a zombie apocalypse story. </li></ul><ul><li>Am Legend was released on December 14, 2007, in the United States, and opened to the largest ever box office (not counting for inflation) for a non-Christmas film released in the U.S. in December. </li></ul><ul><li>The film was the seventh highest grossing film of 2007, earning $256 million domestically and $329 million internationally, for a total of $585 million. </li></ul>

What makes their films successful? <ul><li>They use well known actors </li></ul><ul><li>They have unique storylines </li></ul><ul><li>They target a wide range of audience such as children, teenagers and adults </li></ul><ul><li>The company’s vast library, considered one of the best and largest in the world, consists of more than 6,650 feature films, 40,000 television titles and 14,000 animated titles (including over 1,500 classic animated shorts). </li></ul>

Pictures produces and distributes a wide-ranging slate of 18-22 films each year. </li></ul><ul><li>They distribute their films by advertising new releases and cinema titles on billboards, trailers, adverts, newspapers….etc. </li></ul><ul><li>They have also sell films in Blu Ray </li></ul>
