Dear Employees,
Thank you for the years of effort you have given to the Chick-fil-A family. Your
hard work and dedication to the company has been noticed and greatly appreciated. It is
because of workers like you that our business has flourished thus far.
However, with the negative media spotlight Chick-fil-A has found itself in,
triggered by groups opposed to president, Dan Cathy’s position on same-sex marriage,
the company has suffered a significant drop in sales. Therefore we have to scale back
production. We will be eliminating third-shift operators in both our East and West Coast
distribution centers within 30 days of this announcement.
Thank you again for your dedication to the Chick-fil-A company. We hope that is
just a temporary adjustment and that the sales pick up soon at which point we will
