Co-hosted by East Bay Clean Cities and CALSTART, the event gathered representatives from area airports to discuss clean fleet technologies and funding.

Northern California Green Airport Fleet Partnership Workshop & Expo – June 25, 2014 Why Clean Fleets Matter? • Bay Area Population of on-road vehicles – 5 million • Region occasionally exceeds state and federal air quality standards • On-road vehicles a major contributor to air pollution and greenhouse gases • Population, Goods Movement, vehicle ownership expected to grow through 2020 4

Northern California Green Airport Fleet Partnership Workshop & Expo – June 25, 2014 Public Fleet PEV Program • Accepting Applications through Dec 31, 2014, up to $2 million available for the Program • Only Public Agencies are eligible to apply • Rebates for the purchase or lease of pre-qualified vehicles: – $1,000 for light-duty Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle – $2,500 for light duty Battery Electric Vehicle • Vehicles must be operated for a minimum of 3 years 5

Northern California Green Airport Fleet Partnership Workshop & Expo – June 25, 2014 Shuttle and Rideshare Program FYE 2015 • Scheduled to launch June/July • Up to $4 million available • Funding available only to Public Agencies • Project Types – Existing and Pilot Shuttle/Feeder Bus Service Projects – Regional Rideshare • First-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted 6

Northern California Green Airport Fleet Partnership Workshop & Expo – June 25, 2014 • Scheduled to launch end-2014 (December tentative) • Up to $1.5 million available for purchase and installation of PEV charging equipment • Rebates available to both Public and Private Agencies • Maximum 3 year Project Useful Life • Award amounts being finalized Workplace/MDU/Destination Charging Program 7

Northern California Green Airport Fleet Partnership Workshop & Expo – June 25, 2014 DC Fast Charge Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Incentives 8 • Scheduled to launch 3rd Qtr. 2014 (tentatively October) • Available to both Public and Private Agencies • Accelerate deployment of DC Fast Chargers • Maximum 4 year Project Useful Life • Award amounts being finalized – ~$25,000 – $35,000

Northern California Green Airport Fleet Partnership Workshop & Expo – June 25, 2014 CMP Off-road Projects • Eligibility Requirements – Owned/Operated HDV equipment – 75% in Air District – Achieve surplus emission reductions over 3 years – Meet off-road vehicle regulations – Cost-effective projects • Project Types – up to 80% of the cost of equipment replacement • Example: Replacement of diesel powered ground support equipment w/ electric equipment – up to 85% of the cost of engine replacement – up to 100% of the cost to purchase and install engine retrofit 9

Northern California Green Airport Fleet Partnership Workshop & Expo – June 25, 2014 Other CMP Project Categories • On-road trucks: Voucher Incentive Program (VIP) – Funding for retrofits and replacements • Marine vessels: – Up to 85% of the cost of a main or auxiliary engine replacement • Locomotives: – Up to 85% of the cost of a locomotive replacement • Stationary agricultural engines: – Up to 85% of the cost of a stationary agricultural engine replacement 10
