  4. 4. Our solution is: A mobile, web based iPhone application (which can be adopted for other smart phone platforms) that serves as a digital directory to provide graduates access to over 250+ list (and growing) of graduate programs across Australia. The most comprehensive list of its kind.

This is a big opportunity because: <ul><li>Graduate recruitment will continue to grow as employers face an ongoing skills crisis </li></ul><ul><li>Current solutions for graduate students exists in the form of a physical ‘Yellow Pages’ style directory (created by one govt. entity) or through university career fairs. Both of which provide limited access to limited number of students </li></ul><ul><li>It allows companies to create a new channel through which to connect with future talent whilst enabling direct integration of their social media platforms and strategies </li></ul><ul><li>The future is mobile and Grad Jobs capitalises on this through first mover advantage </li></ul><ul><li>Concept can be applied internationally – US, UK, Singapore, China, Malaysia, India etc. </li></ul>

This is in addition to the regular BD strategies such as SEO, marketing campaigns etc. </li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrating to potential companies (looking to feature a profile in the app) that an established user base exists through the above strategies </li></ul>

The nature of mobile apps allows for a more intimate, clutter free user experience. 2) Integrates and takes advantage of inbuilt social media platforms designed specifically for mobile use therefore allowing clients to seamlessly transition the user from the app to a Facebook site, Youtube video or Twitter feed. Thus enhancing the value proposition for clients. 3) Grad Jobs is creating a new marketing channel for HR and Recruitment Managers.

The team: Currently consists of: Name: Fasih Qureshi Age: 25 Location: Sydney, Australia Education: Bachelor of Business Administration (Macquarie University) with majors in Marketing and Finance Experience: 3 years+ experience including market research and industry analysis, business development and sales, marketing and telemarketing. Strengths: Ability to pick up new concepts and ideas quickly and formulating strategies and action plans. Strong communication skills including public speaking and written communication. Weaknesses: The technical skills in the practical development of web based solutions.
  12. 12. What we’ll do next: The possibilities include: Expanding internationally: Applying the concept to other graduate recruitment markets such as the US, UK and Asia. This would naturally require customising the app to meet the market conditions for each new geographical location. Expanding the content: Applying the Grad Jobs concept to include vacation and summer intern opportunities, apprenticeships and traineeships for VET students and general work experience and vocation opportunities Broadening the platform to include versions for the iPad, and other smart phone technologies – e.g. Android, Blackberry etc.

Currently, we are seeking: <ul><li>The technical expertise to fine tune and improve the current beta version of the app – i.e. functionality improvements, UI recommendations. </li></ul><ul><li>Strategic advice in the development of the concept and assistance in preparation for a full scale launch in 2012. </li></ul><ul><li>Back-end improvements to the current existing online database. </li></ul>An experienced partner able to work collaboratively in the common goal of making Grad Jobs a viable and successful business.
