Main FocusThe main Focus for my 30 Second Promotional Video isto Introduce “The Guild” to who ever may not knowwhat it is.The Main Audience of the Video is anyone who mayalready be living in Preston and has never attended aGuild related Event and also those who are visitingPreston to encourage them to return in the near future.
  • 3. Main FocusBy the End of the Promo, anyone watching will know:1) What “The Guild” is, what it’s for and where it came from.2) What to expect throughout 2012 and what Events will be happening.3) Where to go to for more information and to find out how they can get involved.
  • 4. Eye Catching and InterestingThat’s a lot of information to get through to an audiencewho have never heard of something before. I ask myselfas an Animator and also as a Consumer what sorts ofvisual Advertising catches my attention the most?

Eye Catching and InterestingMy Answer is: Using Creative, Eye Catching andInteresting approaches to Presenting Information thatwill catch the attention of the viewer.My vision for this 30 Second Promotional Video is touse an Artistic and Fun Style that will be inspired by theBBC THREE ident Adverts.   • 6. Eye Catching and InterestingThe Video will contain visuals of Preston’s points ofinterest that will be holding events during The Guild andGuild Week. Characters that will be designed to looklike ordinary members of the general public will featurein the Video throughout, very similar to that on the BBCTHREE adverts I have just shown to you. It will includebright colours, attractive designs and eye catchingtypography.
  • 7. Eye Catching and InterestingLarge and straight to the point Messages will appearthroughout, such as: “It only happens once every 20 Years.” “Find out how you can get Involved atwww….” “It’s a Party!” “It’s Tradition” “It’s not to be missed!”

The Preston PeopleAn important factor I came across when researching The Guildwas how the people of Preston who are making these eventshappen also appear excited about these events themselves.I really like this message that was included in the Brief:“The Guild has a long history and has evolved over thecenturies, but one thing that has always remained the centralfocus of The Guild is People – the People who planit, participate in it, promote it and the people who tell theirstories of The Guild to Children and Grandchildren.”
  • 9. The MessageThis will be a Central Focus for this Video, the mainmessage will be:“The Preston Guild is The People’s Guild.The People make the Guild, for the People.This is YOUR Guild.”

Let’s get to workI am very interested in combining several forms of Animationand enjoy opportunities such as these when working withother Creative people to combine our skills in Animation andin Art to produce an attractive finished film.If my Idea is chosen, there will still be plenty of room for inputfrom others to improve it and to make it the best it canpossibly be.
