    • A meal for on the go
    • A home packed meal
    • Or, a single portion take-out meal
  • How Big is a Bento Box?
    • Three factors determine your bento box size:
    • Gender
    • Age
    • Height
    • On average, an adult woman’s size Bento is approximately 600 ml

  • Why in Milliliters?
    • Calories correspond directly to capacity of a Bento Box
    • 600 ml box should ideally hold a 600 cal meal
    • 240 ml is equivalent to 1 cup
  • There are many styles of Bento boxes:
    • Older styles such as wooden or woven
  • More Bento box styles:
    • Lacquered and fancy
  • Even More Bento box styles:
    • Plastic and insulated
  • Fill up your Bento Box
    • Japanese guidelines suggest a meal be made up of :
    • 3 parts grain
