With over 7 billion people on the planet increasingly being connected via the Internet, Globalism will be a key and continuing trend in 2014 as more and more people and cultures get digitally connected. The old will need to make way for the new and leaders will need to change their thinking to navigate a more interconnected diverse world. Migration will surge and with a large percentage of the world's population being born in emerging and undeveloped countries the impact of globalism will be felt more in the coming years than at any time in history. This will create great opportunities for those who are able to work cross culturally and with a view of the entire global community. The trend will also unseat those that don't embrace globalism as a key trend in 2014 and beyond.
