      • A database of articles covering the research literature of chemistry and related sciences from 1907 to the present

      • Allows Access to hundreds of scientific, technical and medical databases including CAS ( List of databases )
      • Pay as you go. Pricing is based on time online and information retrieved
      • Suited for experienced searchers
      • STN Easy version for infrequent searchers

      • Based on Boolean logic
      • Can search on many fields as shown in the CA database summary sheet

    7. Scifinder Scholar
      • An electronic version of Chemical Abstracts covering 1907 to the present
      • It is now searchable on the web
      • Users must set up an account with their NJIT e-mail
      • Only 2 simultaneous users allowed
        • 1 for web based version ( must setup an account)
        • 1 for client based version (need to download software)

    8. Searching Scifinder Scholar
      • The program takes only a few seconds to perform the search
      • The user must take time to evaluate the references
      • Users should print or download the retrieved references and evaluate them offline to allow other to access Scifinder
      • The program looks for the search terms but can not always link the concepts to find the desired information
