What is a collaborative program? <ul><li>Allow students to complete both a degree and a diploma or certificate at the same time. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>College gives credit for work done here, we give credit for work done there (no duplication of coursework). </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Students apply into a collaborative program at the end of Year One. If accepted, they spend their remaining time at Brock and the College (typically Years 2 and 4 here, and Year 3 at college, but there are some exceptions). </li></ul></ul>brocku.ca/social-sciences/collaborative-programs

Why Complete a Collaborative Program? <ul><li>Gain employability skills and practical experience. </li></ul><ul><li>Employers have indicated a strong interest in hiring students who have both the critical thinking and research skills typically gained during degree studies, plus the applied knowledge and training typically obtained during college studies. </li></ul><ul><li>Allows students to put the theory that they learn during their degree studies into practice, and complete their studies “job ready”. </li></ul>brocku.ca/social-sciences/collaborative-programs
