  • 5. Type the subject of your research—remember to put in quotations “exact phrases” you want to search
    Change to “All” to search multiple databases
    Check this box to ONLY view “Full-text” results

    Once you’ve pressed “search” >> Look at the section titles “Source”
    Clicking on “Academic Search Complete (EBSCO)” will find more valuable articles/information

    Click on “High School” level
    Search the encyclopedia using the key terms for the subject of your research topic
    See “Additional Content” on the right side for more information. Ex) Journals/Magazines, The Webs Best Sites, Primary Sources, Britannica Concise Encyclopedia
  • 9. Check the Library
    Go to library to find additional resources “Primary Sources” that are available for FREE
    You can see the Library Catalog on the Website to see what is available for check out
  • 10. Getting the Bibliography Information Right
    There are citation builders available online
    Your packet has all the information you need in citing a source properly
    For Database Articles: see the chart “Database Article” You will need to locate that information on your article to create the bib. info. Like the example you see on chart.
  • 11. Things to do before beginning research…
    Get an e-mail address!
    You can send information you find directly to your e-mail to access information outside of school
    Blackboard: Update e-mail in blackboard (“My places” Edit “Personal Information” add “your e-mail address” in the proper box , Click “Submit”
    Any reminders sent out via Blackboard will now be sent directly to your e-mail address
