    • NFC TAGS WITHWINDOWS PHONE 8A DEMONSTRATION OF SETTING UP AND USING NFC TAGSBRIAN GROTHHTTP://WWW.BRIANGROTH.COMJUNE 2013
    • I own a Nokia Lumia 920, which is what I used for this demoI bought some NFC tags from Amazon.com called “Nokia Writer Supplies”I put one on the bottomof my coffee cup
    • What I want to do is set up my new NFC tags so myphone does something when I tap the phone to theNFC tag.To do that, use the Nokia NFC Writer application
    • Select Compose to create the new action when you tapthis particular NFC tag with your phone
    • Then select the action to have happen when I tap thisNFC specific tag that’s now on my coffee cup.In my case, the action I want is to post a tweet.Of course, there are a variety of actions that can betaken when someone taps their phone to an NFCtag, but this is what I’m choosing for this particular tag.
    • This step will be unique to whatever action you’veselected for your NFC tagFor the “post a tweet” action, this is where I can put insome default text for when I tap my phone to this NFCtag
    • The final step is toassociate theaction to the tag,so simply tap thephone to the tag. When the phonecompletes the newassociation, it tellsme with the “writecomplete”message
    • Assume some time has passed and I’ve walked up to mydesk
    • When I tap myphone to my NFCtag, it asks me if Iwant to opentwitter.com
    • When I click toAccept the action ofopeningTwitter.com, it bringsme to the web pagewith my default textalready filled outWhen I press theTweet button, itshares the message
