  4. 4. FALL 2011 Amsterdam Motor Show: Back on track The April 2011 AutoRai event in Amsterdam provided ample proof that with fresh thinking and careful management, spectacular events can still be created in a cost-conscious world. Even with a focus on cost-efficiency, 2011’s exhibitors had plenty of opportunity to express their individual brand identities to the nearly 300,000 visitors. A range of premieres and concept cars were on display, plus a range of exciting live shows featuring the latest news from the automotive industry. The 2011 show was a development of kubik’s renowned exhibition concept for AutoRAI, first produced as an innovative response to the 2008 economic crisis. The ultimate result in earlier years and again in 2011 was a maximum-impact show for more-than-acceptable costs. kubik designed and executed this concept successfully for many of the most prestigious brands in the industry, including Opel/GM, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, LandRover, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Lotus and the spectacular Fisker electric sports car. kubik CONTACT© 2011 kubik inc. 6. 6. FALL 2011For Trojan pools of water and bamboo fountains. The result, when combined with a kubik designed program of interactiveTechnologies, Water activities before and during the show, was everything Trojan expected it to be.Confidence equalsPeace of Mind.Trojan Technologies is the market leader in UV watertreatment technology, respected for producingUltraviolet technologies that are cleaner, greenerand more efficient than chlorine based systems. Theirmission is expressed in the phrase “Water Confidence” -the peace of mind that comes from knowing your wateris truly clean. Trojan recently challenged kubik to finda tradeshow interpretation of “Water Confidence” thatwould reinforce their brand strength and have a bigimpact on visitors. With the tranquility of a Zen garden as inspiration, thekubik team created the Trojan “Peace of Mind” campaign. The exhibit space was defined by surrounding wallsof upright acrylic tubes that mimicked bamboo, withmany of them internally lit to suggest Trojan’s UV lamptechnology. Inside the booth, we created a modernJapanese rock garden with Trojan’s unique UV lamps andpurification equipment serving as the stones and thetraffic flow moving around them as the sand.
