Consumer goods and quick service restaurants need to drive consumer engagement through strong brand association but how would they generate awareness for their cash generating spin-off products?
Challenge: Consumer goods companies need to create consumer experiences around a strong brand identity, often basing this around lifestyle trends and events. The core challenge of promotions have to be around capitalizing on existing influencers and creating buzz through word of mouth marketing
Targets: The target segments for the goods vary by type but for a promotion it is essential to understand the value proposition and theme of the goods. Quick service restaurants for instance need to focus on quality and convenience at the same time.

      Platforms: Facebook and competitive microsites
Killer component: Brandmovers understands the value of factors such as viral elements, consumer goodwill, quick insights on goods and network capital. We incorporate these elements into campaigns to help brands generate a lift in sales and develop an ‘always-on’, expanding platform for marketers to access.
      Execution:
Pepsi paint your face: Cashing on world cup mania Pepsi wanted to get fans to vote and recruit more fans to support their teams. A Facebook application allowed for fans to ‘paint’ their faces and encourage friends to do it too. A real time world map would monitor the fan base from each country giving the users an interactive experience and monitor team support amongst friends!

      Popeye’s Chicken
Popeye’s Chicken cleverly uses its social media presence to release information on new products as well as promotion announcements. With their sweet iced tea offering, and with summer around the bend, Brandmovers designed a page tab for them to help spread the word of this new product with a voting app and hash tagged tweets for monitoring all conversations around the brand. This would help in getting more fans onto their communication platform without diluting the brand equity (which usually happens when forming a new page for a product.)

      Kettle Chips:
Kettle chips wanted to instil the core differentiation from other crisps/chips in the way that their chips are hand made and seasoned in the good old fashioned way chips were meant to be. Keeping in mind a relatively small attention span for online games, Brandmovers developed a clever but tricky game in a microsite as a contest for users to make their own chips. The addictive game caught the attention of most gamers while subconsciously instilling the values that the Kettle brand stood for in making fresh, all natural handmade chips for the consumer who wants to experience the natural goodness of chips in a market filled with precision cut boring and random flavoured chips.
