  • 2. DEFINING SOPHISTICATION MATCH We know how HARD it is to grab your audience’s attention. To create high-quality content that engages readers, you must make sure that it's highly relevant to your audience and specifically tailored for them. Using the Atomic Reach Audience Engager, we help you identify critical opportunities for improvements within your content based on writing style, sophistication and structure. One of our metrics, “Content Sophistication”, makes recommendations on how you can optimize your articles to specific target audiences. © Atomic Reach 2013 2
  • 3. HOW THIS FEATURE WORKS There are 2 messages that you will receive when there is a sophistication mismatch from your target audience: your content is too complex or too simple. Here are some tips on how to achieve a sophistication match. *Don’t worry if you see large paragraphs highlighted. It doesn’t mean that you have the change all of the text. Sometimes, a few key changes are all you need to optimize your writing. © Atomic Reach 2013 3
  • 4. IF IT’S TOO COMPLEX… CONSIDER: Original draft LENGTH The longer the word, sentence or paragraph, the more effort the brain has to expend to comprehend the ideas. Cut it down where you can. LANGUAGE Use simpler words that people understand. Avoid jargon. © Atomic Reach 2013 4
