1 # good pace
you probably know the speakers who tell stories horribly slow... everything they say could have been told 3 times faster but remember presentation is not a race too
2 # interesting story
If you do not have anything interesting to tell better say nothing
3 # not too long
The less information on each slide, the better
4 # good images
YOU are a quality there are plenty of places with good and free or inexpensive images sxc.hu, thinkstock.com, photos.com, flickr.com, istockphoto.com and much more
5 # slide like billboard
Think about each slide as a billboard Two words: pretty and simple
6 # suspens
wow your audience Do not let them to sleep
7 # colors
colors are important
8 # time
test your presentation

font must be legible
