AmeriCorps 101: Living Allowance www.bonner.org Term Minimum Half Full Hours 300 900 1700 Stipend $1,900 $5,771 $12,500
AmeriCorps 101: Living Allowance
Living allowance must be paid in equal increments ($12,500/26 pay periods = $480.77 per pay period)
Amount should not fluctuate based on the number of hours served
Distribution of stipend checks
Cannot be distributed if the member exits the program before his/her agreed upon completion date

AmeriCorps 101: Eligibility
US citizen or lawful permanent resident
17 years of age
High school diploma or agree to obtain a diploma or GED during term of service

Not to exceed one calendar year
Hours count toward Education Award not Living Allowance

AmeriCorps 101: Healthcare Coverage
Healthcare coverage provided through Aetna to 1700 hour, full-time members (member must consistently serve full-time hours; +30 a week)
Members on Medicare/Medicaid must enroll in healthcare coverage provided through the grant.

AmeriCorps 101: Childcare Benefits www.bonner.org
Childcare benefits are available to full-time members and part-time members working in a full-time capacity
Childcare benefits must be paid to a State licensed childcare provider
AmeriCorps 101: Background Checks www.bonner.org
Background checks will be conducted on all members through our contracted vendor, Choicepoint, Inc.
Members cannot be left alone with members of a vulnerable population until the background check is complete.
You may need to conduct your own background check to abide by the regulations of your licensing agency.
AmeriCorps 101: Educational Award
May be used to pay qualified educational expenses at Title IV institution
May be used to repay qualified student loans

AmeriCorps 101: Timesheets
No lobbying, advocacy, or voter registration drives
No more than 20% training hours
No more than 10% fundraising hours
Must be submitted to the Foundation by the 15th of each month (eg. April’s Timesheet is due by May 15th)
Fundraising and Training hours are designated on the Time Sheet
