  2. Russia’s nuclear attack on U.S. may start with major banks Front page / World / Americas 17.04.2009 Source: Pravda.Ru While US scientists put forward the new doctrine of the Minimum Nuclear Deterrence (targeting missiles against Russia’s 12 key enterprises), Bigness.ru decided to draw a map of a limited strike that could paralyze the US economy . It turns out that the United States is much more vulnerable than Russia at this point. An attack against only five targets in the USA will throw the US economy back into the Stone Age. US scientists put forward an idea to focus targets on 12 key objects of the Russian economy: enterprises of Gazprom , Rosneft, Rusal, Nornikel, Surgutneftegaz, Evraz and Severstal. The suggestion became an absolutely new approach to the deterrence doctrine. The USA currently has the Mutual Assured Demolition Doctrine, which stipulates an attack of some 200 targets on Russia’s territory. According to various estimates, Russia’s doctrine stipulates attacks against about 100 targets on the territory of the United States. The destruction of those targets will cause critical damage to the USA. Leonid Ivashov, the vice president of the Academy for Geopolitical Sciences, believes that Russia would first need to attack USA’s largest banks. A successful attack would paralyze the entire dollar -dependent economy. “This is the number one goal in case of war. We would need to destroy large banks in London as well,” the Colonel-General said. Inga Foksha, an analyst with IK Aton, did not hesitate to name five targets, the destruction of which would jeopardize the USA’s existence. The first strike should be made against the offices of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington, Dallas and Chicago. “This company handles depositors’ funds. If it disappears, and if banks have no guarantees, the people will panic and will rush to cash their deposits,” Foksha said. A company of the real sector of economy with diversified business , General Electric, for example, can become an object of the second strike. The death of the company that stands on the crossroad of several economic sectors will paralyze the activities of thousands of adjacent companies, and millions of people will lose their jobs. The third nuclear strike will be made against Freddie Mac and Dannie Mae. “These two agencies currently devour a great amount of state funds,” Inga Foksha said. The US Treasury and the Federal Reserve System would also make important targets to strike, the analyst believes. We can see today that the Americans are following a different path now. It is not likely that the USA will strike a massive nuclear blow,” Leonid Ivashov said.
  3. I wouldn’t have thought it was necessary to detonate a 19 kiloton nuclear weapon to see what it would do to an airship, but that’s just what the US Department of Energy did on 7 August 1957. Well, to be fair, the primary purpose was probably to test a prototype of the W30 nuclear warhead; the airship thing was just a bonus. The test, codenamed Stokes, was part of Operation Plumbbob , a series of 29 above-ground detonations carried out at the Nevada Test Site between May and October 1957. Statistically speaking, the radiation released into the atmosphere from Plumbbob would be expected to have caused 1900 civilian deaths from thyroid cancer — a small price to pay for the knowledge gained, I think we’d all agree. 4. Queen Cleopatra And Mark Anthony's Tombs May Have Been Found In Egypt 2009-04-16 AHN Alexandria, Egypt (AHN) -- The tombs of Egypt's Queen Cleopatra and her husband Mark Anthony may have been found. Scientists discovered the sites last month during a radar survey of the temple of Taposiris Magna, near the northern coastal city of Alexandria. Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities announced the find Wednesday. Archaeologists plan to start excavating the tombs next week. Researchers have been searching for the final resting place of the legendary queen and her Roman general lover - who took their own lives after being defeated in the battle of Actium in 31 B.C. - for centuries. The Taposiris Magna temple - which was built during the reign of King Ptolemy II in 30 B.C. - was recently identified as a likely site and archaeologists have been excavating it for the past three years. Last year, they unearthed a bronze statue of the goddess Aphrodite, the alabaster head of a Queen Cleopatra statue, a mask believed to belong to Mark Anthony and a headless statue from the Ptolemaic era. They also found 22 coins bearing Cleopatra's image.
  5. FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY Pembroke Pines boy, 12, tackling a double major at FIU A 12-year-old student is working toward degrees in physics and math at Florida International University -- after taking his first class there two years ago. Miami Herald It's Friday at Florida International University, which means a few things for Sky Choi: physics lab, Calculus II -- and a trip to the game room. For this 12-year-old, the youngest student ever to attend FIU, college is a long-awaited challenge and a daily adventure. ''We have fun here,'' he said as he prepared to start a work sheet on pistons, gases, and pressure with his lab partners. Welcome to the world of Sky, who is taking a full course load of physics, calculus, and Chinese language classes at the university -- and still finds time to play pool and table tennis in the game room at the West Miami-Dade campus. A home-schooler who has a third-degree black belt in tae kwon do and is fluent in Korean, he is dual enrolled and officially finishing high school at the end of this semester. When he starts classes in the fall as a full-fledged college student, he'll have as many credits as a sophomore. The Pembroke Pines preteen, who is classified as ''profoundly gifted,'' started taking classes there when he was 10.
  6. Hackers stole data on Pentagon's newest fighter jet CNN   WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Thousands of confidential files on the U.S. military's most technologically advanced fighter aircraft have been compromised by unknown computer hackers over the past two years, according to senior defense officials.  The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter's self-diagnostic system was compromised by hackers, officials say. The Internet intruders were able to gain access to data related to the design and electronics systems of the Joint Strike Fighter through computers of Pentagon contractors in charge of designing and building the aircraft, according to the officials, who did not want to be identified because of the sensitivity of the issue. In addition to files relating to the aircraft, hackers gained entry into the Air Force's air traffic control systems, according to the officials. Once they got in, the Internet hackers were able to see such information as the locations of U.S. military aircraft in flight. The Joint Striker Fighter plane is the military's new F-35 Lightning II. It designed to become the aircraft used by all of the branches of service. Most of the files broken into focused on the design and performance statistics of the fighter, as well as its electronic systems, officials said. The information could be used to make the plane easier to fight or defend against. Additionally, the system used by the aircraft to conduct self-diagnostics during flight was compromised by the computer intrusions, according to the officials. However, the officials insisted that none of the information accessed was highly sensitive data.
  7. Former astronaut: Man not alone in universe (CNN) -- Earth Day may fall later this week, but as far as former NASA astronaut Edgar Mitchell and other UFO enthusiasts are concerned, the real story is happening elsewhere.  Former NASA astronaut Edgar Mitchell, shown in 1998, says "there really is no doubt we are being visited." Mitchell, who was part of the 1971 Apollo 14 moon mission, asserted Monday that extraterrestrial life exists, and that the truth is being concealed by the U.S. and other governments. He delivered his remarks during an appearance at the National Press Club following the conclusion of the fifth annual X-Conference, a meeting of UFO activists and researchers studying the possibility of alien life forms. Mankind has long wondered if we're "alone in the universe. [But] only in our period do we really have evidence. No, we're not alone," Mitchell said. "Our destiny, in my opinion, and we might as well get started with it, is [to] become a part of the planetary community. ... We should be ready to reach out beyond our planet and beyond our solar system to find out what is really going on out there." Mitchell grew up in Roswell , New Mexico, which some UFO believers maintain was the site of a UFO crash in 1947. He said residents of his hometown "had been hushed and told not to talk about their experience by military authorities." They had been warned of "dire consequences" if they did so.

  9. Mel Gibson falls in love with Russian nymphomaniac  20.04.2009 Source: Pravda.Ru Mel Gibson’s new lover, who destroys his marriage of many years, began to collect men at age 14. Oksana Pochepa was born in a middle-class family in the Russian city of Rostov. When a child, she liked to play with boys all the time. She had absolutely no interest in dolls and other girlie toys, so she would hide all of them in her grandmother’s wardrobe. The girl was interested in something totally different. “Oksana is a nymphomaniac. Sex is the most important thing for her. She kept a diary at high school, in which she described all of her love affairs. She had a great deal of partners, although she was not like a prostitute. She just loved sex. She had her first experience when she was in the ninth grade and could not stop afterwards. It was like fitness for her,” the woman’s friend said. Her former classmate, a man named only as Sergei, said that he was shocked when Oksana showed her sex diary to him. “She put down the story of every love affair that she had and described all her sex life in detail there. She described her feelings and emotions in that journal too,” the man said. Oksana later became a pop star and launched her career as Akula (Shark). She was discovered by a VJ, who later gave her an opportunity to hit the big time. The career of a pop singer made Oksana work on her looks. It is hard to believe that she used to suffer from excessive weight. The news about the love affair between the 24-year-old woman and Mel Gibson, the world-famous actor and director, became a shock to everyone who knows Oksana in person. “She told me that she lived in the States for about six months, that she had an affair there with someone. But I could never imagine that it would be Mel Gibson. She is a shark definitely. A shark hunting for big fish,” her former classmate said.

Dye explodes in man's pants     Monday, April 20, 2009      HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A bank robber may have gotten away with the cash, but he might be wishing he hadn't.   Last Thursday, a man walked into the Wachovia Bank in the 2700 block of Smith and reportedly told the teller he had a gun and ordered her to give him money. Fearing for her life, the teller gave the man some cash bundles with exploding dye packs in them. The suspect stuffed the money down his pants and ran out of the bank. Police arrested Daniel Duran a short time later, after the dye packs exploded while still allegedly down his pants. Duran was taken to an area hospital with second degree burns to his genital area. No weapon was found. Duran has been charged with robbery.

  17. Woman fined £200 for noisy sex romps NOISY SEX: Caroline Cartwright and her husband Steve sparked 25 complaints from neighbours.     17 April 2009     A woman has been fined £200 for disturbing neighbours with her noisy sex sessions.    Caroline Cartwright was found guilty of breaching an abatement notice served on her after 25 complaints to police about her romps with husband Steve. The 47-year-old denied the latest five charges but was convicted after Sunderland magistrates listened to recordings of the loud lovemaking.    Environmental Health placed recording equipment in the flat next door to the couple's house in Hall Road, Concord, Washington. The Cartwrights' neighbour, Rachel O'Connor pressed a button on the machine every time she was disturbed by noise from next door. She said: "It is sounds of a sexual nature, really loud, a lot of moaning and groaning and screaming as if in pain. "It comes from both parties, the man and the woman." Ms O'Connor told the court that when she first moved into Hall Road, in November 2007, the noise started at midnight and lasted until 3am. Now, she said, the noise started at about 6.30am and lasted until 9am. The tape made in Ms O'Connor's flat was recorded through a soundproofed wall, but words and the sound of slapping were audible. Environmental Health officer Pamela Spark, told the court that she had heard 23 recordings of the couple having sex. She said: "The recordings contained an excessive screaming female voice. I felt that the noise was a clear breach of the abatement notice at that level." Partially-deaf neighbour Margery Ball said she had not had a decent night's sleep in two years because of the Cartwrights. Cartwright told the court: "I am not making the noise on purpose. I have no desire to hurt anybody or damage any property." Cartwright was fined £200 with £300 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.   Sunderland Echo
  18. Domino's Prankster A Sex Offender Woman in shocking video pleaded guilty to illicit act with girl, 14   APRIL 16-- The woman who filmed herself and a co-worker as they joked about contaminating food at a Domino's Pizza in North Carolina is a registered sex offender who last year pleaded guilty to engaging in an illicit act with a 14-year-old girl. Kristy Hammonds, 31, and Michael Setzer, 32, were arrested yesterday and charged with delivering prohibited foods after a video surfaced showing Setzer preparing sandwiches while putting cheese up his nose, passing gas on salami slices, and appearing to blow his nose on the food. While this was occurring, Hammonds filmed Setzer and provided commentary such as, "In about five minutes it'll be sent out on delivery where somebody will be eating these, yes, eating them, and little did they know that cheese was in his nose and that there was some lethal gas that ended up on their salami." She added, "Now that's how we roll at Domino's." Court records show that Hammonds, pictured in the mug shot above , was charged in 2006 with three counts of statutory rape and pleaded guilty last June to a reduced count of misdemeanor sexual battery. According to a Superior Court indictment, a copy of which you'll find below, Hammonds (who was charged under her married name), sexually abused the teenage girl over a four-month period. Investigators with the Alexander County Sheriff's Office, which arrested Hammonds in the sex case, declined to provide further details about their probe, citing the need to protect the minor victim. As part of her plea deal , Hammonds was required to register as a sex offender and ordered "not to be alone with anyone 16 or under, with the exception of her own children." She was also placed on probation for two years, hit with a 60-day suspended jail sentence, and fined $1941

  21. Glass-bottom boats are nothing new on scenic tours, but with a see-through canoe you can go wherever you want and have a personal up-close view of whatever is below you. Lighter than a wood or aluminum canoe, tough as bullet-proof glass and entirely transparent on the bottom, these designs provide a completely new way to experience water life around you. It gets better: the kayak equivalent to the transparent canoe is a carbon kevlar frame design that has a military-grade transparent urethane skin - and it folds up small enough to carry with you in a backpack. Setting it up to be water-worthy takes about a half an hour but the lightweight portability means you can bring it virtually anywhere.
  22. Willy fish or Candiru might swim up your penis or vagina if you urinate in the Amazon Attack of the 'willy fish' The legendary candiru, or 'willy fish' as it sometimes less politely called, is known about well outside its native range in the freshwater rivers of the Amazon basin. These small catfish are parasites and normally live in the gills of very large catfishes, to which they're attracted by the ammonia that is excreted by the fishes' gills. Unfortunately for bathers, gills aren't the only things that can excrete streams of ammonia into water. Humans urinating while swimming also do the same. The tiny catfish home-in on the trickle of ammonia-rich wee and swim up the victim's penis or urethra, locking themselves in place with a set of sharp hooks. Once there, they leave you in immense pain and try to dine on your blood . Although infamous, "attacks" by these fish are actually not thought to be particularly common. We covered the first confirmed and documented case of the removal of one of these catfishes from a man's penis. There's also a video, and a dramatic reconstruction of the event, if you're not too squeamish. While candiru are normally small fish – an inch or two at most - the catfish removed in this case wasn't a little one. It measured an eye-watering six inches in length and half an inch wide! Given the choice, I think I'd personally prefer to be stung by something instead... More: Candiru attack
