    2. Brazilian boy, 8, passes law school entrance exam   March 07 2008. Brazil's lawyers have been shocked to find that a boy aged eight has managed to pass the entrance exam to law school. The Bar Association said the achievement of Joao Victor Portellinha should be taken as a warning about the low standards of some of Brazil's law schools. "If this is confirmed, the Education Ministry should immediately intervene ... to investigate the circumstances of this case," said the association's president in Goias state, Miguel Angelo Cancado. Joao Victor is still in fifth grade, two levels ahead of normal for his age, but his mother says he is not a cloistered genius. "He is a regular boy," she told the Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper. "He is very dedicated, likes to read and study, but he has fun and makes friends." The Universidade Paulista, a multi-campus private university, said yesterday that the boy would not be enrolling any time soon: he still has to graduate from high school. Still, the school said the "student's performance, considering his age and level of education, was good, especially in the essay test, which revealed his good capacity to express himself and handle the language." "My dream is to be a federal judge," the boy said, according to Globo TV's Web site. "So I decided to take the test to see how I would do ... it was easy. I studied a week before the test." Brazil requires every student to take an entrance exam before being admitted to college. Each university administers its own test, and the exams from private institutions are usually considered to be easier than those of public universities, which are free and attract many more candidates. University officials said they could not release figures on the number of people who pass and fail the law school entrance exam. As a former colony, Brazilian civil law is largely based on that of Portugal with statutes derived from the Romano-Germanic legal tradition, but has been amended to include some precedent-based common law.
    3. Photos Of Eliot Spitzer's Hooker Meet "Kristen," the 22-year-old woman who brought down the governor MARCH 12--Meet "Kristen," the high-priced hooker who trysted with Eliot "Client-9" Spitzer last month at that Washington, D.C. hotel. The 22-year-old prostitute's real name is Ashley Alexandra Dupre (though she was born Ashley Youmans), according to a New York Times report. On the following slides you'll find an assortment of photos that the young prostitute previously uploaded to a music web site and her MySpace page, which describes Kristen/Ashley as an aspiring musician who left home at 17 and has been in New York City since 2004.

Tehran Police Chief Caught in Bed With 6 Hookers The Tehran Police Chief, Reza Zarei, was caught in a bed with six--- Yes SIX ---prostitutes. AKI reported: Tehran's police chief, Reza Zarei (photo), has been arrested after he was found nude in a local brothel with six naked prostitutes, according to report on the Iranian Farda News. Farda News is a website said to be close to the mayor of Tehran and former chief of the police forces, Mohammed Bagher Qalibaf. Following the raid, Zarei stepped down from his post as police chief. The news of his arrest however was not reported by any official Iranian news agency. According to a popular Iranian website Gooya, the order to raid the brothel was given directly by Ayatollah Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, chief of the judicial authorities. Before he was arrested, Zarei was in charge of the program for the 'moralisation of the city'.

    15. Va. Targets Adults Who French Kiss Kids March 9, 2008 - 1:48am RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - State legislators passed a law Saturday that would require adults who French kiss a child younger than 13 to register as a sex offender. Those convicted of tongue-kissing a child would be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in jail and a $2,500 fine. The House of Delegates passed the legislation 96-1 and the Senate 39-0. The bill now heads to Gov. Timothy M. Kaine , who said he supports the legislation. Delagate Riley Ingram, R-Hopewell, introduced the bill on behalf of a woman whose 10-year-old daughter was French-kissed by the 62-year-old husband of her babysitter. The only crime prosecutors could charge the man with was contributing to the delinquency of a minor, which did not require that he register as a sex offender. Ingram and other members of the House fought to make the crime a felony, but in the final day of the 2008 General Assembly session gave in to senators who thought that classifying it as a felony was too harsh. Delegate Phillip Hamilton, R- Newport News , cast the lone nay vote, refusing to back down from his belief that the crime should be a felony. "I think that type of behavior is so egregious it warrants a felony," Hamilton said. Ingram said he was satisfied that a conviction would land someone on the sex offender registry. Associated Press
    16. Jesus as Mushroom TIME Magizine Monday, Jun. 08, 1970   To some biblical scholars in Britain, the new book looked like the psychedelic ravings of a hippie cultist. To others, it was merely an outlandish hoax. One described it as reading "like a Semitic philologist's erotic nightmare." The object of all this learned scorn was The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross, which argues that Jesus was not a man but a hallucinogenic mushroom, Amanita muscaria; that the New Testament was concocted by addicts of the mushroom as a code for their mystical lore; and that the God of Jews and Christians is ultimately nothing more than a magnificent phallic symbol. Normally, such preposterous stuff would be dismissed as beneath serious discussion. But in this case the author is a maverick philologist of some scholarly standing: John M. Allegro, 47, former lecturer on the Old Testament at the University of Manchester and the first Briton on the international team of editors of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Allegro's method is to delve behind the surface meaning and context of biblical words, conjuring instead with their frequently erotic root meaning ("Christian," he says, is a derivation from the Sumerian meaning "smeared with semen"). These half-forgotten roots, Allegro maintains, link the characters and stories of the Bible to the orgiastic, often outlawed mushroom cults of the Near East. For example, the Greek word for "stumbling block," which is used to describe the crucified Christ in Corinthians I, once meant "bolt," which leads Allegro to connect it with the phallus-shaped "bolt-plant" mushroom; thus he concludes that "stumbling block" is, in fact, a cryptic reference to getting high on mushrooms. Besides rejecting such word games, critics have pointed out that there is more historical evidence that Jesus actually lived in Judea than that the mushroom ever did. Last week 15 distinguished theologians and philologists —including Sir Godfrey Driver, one of the chief translators of the Old Testament in the New English Bible —took to the letters columns of the Times of London to denounce Allegro's book as "an essay in fantasy rather than philology," which is "not based on any philological or other evidence" of merit. At his home on the Isle of Man, Allegro was "staggered" by the attack on his book, but remained undaunted. "I'd match my philology with any of that lot," he said. He is forging ahead on a new book about "where we go from here, morally, now that there is no basis for Christianity." Meanwhile, he made it clear that his interest in hallucinogenic mushrooms is purely scholarly: "Drugs are like religion. With both, you can convince yourself of things which may not be true."
    17. Solar-powered Lawnmower Posted on: March 06, 2008 I guess it makes perfect sense that nobody would want to mow the lawn when it is raining, so the premise for a solar-powered lawnmower is a no-brainer. Husqvarna has rolled out its automatic electric solar-powered hybrid robotic lawn mower that claims to be the first of its kind in the world, offering a professionally cut lawn every time at a steep price - £2,000, to be exact. Well, I guess as long as the sun shines this piece of machinery will keep on going, but just how robust and tough are the insides? This lawnmower can clear 2,300 square meters of grass and is programmable to work only at certain times or days of the week. It has a battery life of approximately 40 minutes before a 40 minute charging time juices it up, but on a sunny day, its cutting time can be extended by another 50%.
    18. Strip search: camera that sees through clothes from 80ft away A CAMERA that can see through people’s clothing at distances of up to 80ft has been developed to help detect weapons, drugs and explosives. The camera could be deployed in railway stations, shopping centers and other public spaces. Although it can see objects under clothes, its designers say the images do not show anatomical details. However, it is likely to increase fears that Britain has become a surveillance society. The new technology, known as the T5000 system, has attracted interest from police forces, train companies and airport operators as well as government agencies. It has been developed by ThruVision, an Oxfordshire-based company spun out from the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, one of the government’s leading physics research centers. It was designed for use in spacecraft and astronomy but researchers soon realized that cameras capable of seeing through clouds of cosmic dust could also see through clothing. This week the camera will be displayed at the Home Office scientific development branch’s annual exhibition, Britain’s premier showcase for security equipment, to be held on an RAF airbase in Buckinghamshire. ThruVision already offers a smaller system designed for office foyers that can scan through clothing at a range of 30ft-40ft.   Timesonline.com
    19. Air Force's stealth fighters making final flights   DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- The world's first attack aircraft to employ stealth technology is slipping quietly into history. Technicians service an F-117 stealth fighter after it arrived at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, on Monday. The inky black, angular, radar-evading F-117, which spent 27 years in the Air Force arsenal secretly patrolling hostile skies from Serbia to Iraq, will be put in mothballs next month in Nevada. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, which manages the F-117 program, will have an informal, private retirement ceremony Tuesday with military leaders, base employees and representatives from Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico. The last F-117s scheduled to fly will leave Holloman on April 21, stop in Palmdale, California, for another retirement ceremony, then arrive on April 22 at their final destination: Tonopah Test Range Airfield in Nevada, where the jet made its first flight in 1981. The government has no plans to bring the fighter out of retirement, but could do so if necessary.   CNN
    20. Botox is turning Nicole Kidman into a 'bat face,' says cosmetic guru Nicole Kidman has used Botox injections so much she is giving the cosmetic medicine industry a bad name for creating a "bat face" look, a leading Canadian Botox expert has claimed. The Hollywood star, 40, has denied using the anti-wrinkle treatment, recently saying her look is "completely natural". But Dr Martin Braun, one of the largest proponents of Botox on the American continent, insists there is no doubt Kidman has been an "enthusiastic user".
    21. Cops Strike Gold (Man) Costumed Key West street performer nabbed for undercover cocaine sale MARCH 7--A Key West street performer known as "Gold Man" was busted this week on a warrant charging him with selling crack cocaine to an undercover officer. Daryl Brooks, 45, was arrested Wednesday afternoon, in full costume, and booked into the Monroe County Sheriff's Office lockup on the felony drug rap. As seen in the above photo, Brooks did not have the chance to remove his face paint before posing for his mug shot. Before Key West police stuffed Brooks in a squad car, they took a photo of him in his outfit, which you can find here . According to an incident report , as Brooks sat in the police vehicle, he allegedly confessed to a cop: "It wasn't even mine, I sold it for a friend. I needed the money so I could take a day off from my day job as the Gold Man." Brooks added, needlessly, "You know when I get high, I do some stupid stuff." Brooks is being held in the Monroe County jail in lieu of $35,000 bail.
    22. Kansas Woman Stays On Toilet For 2 Years Ness City, KS (AHN) -- Police responding to a call from a Ness County man's home arrived to discover the homeowner's girlfriend sitting on the toilet, and had been on it for two years. Authorities said the woman, 35 years old, was on the toilet fully clothed, with her pants down to mid-thigh. "She was not glued," said Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple. "She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body. It's hard to imagine...I still have a hard time imagining it myself." According to the police, the woman's legs had atrophied from maintaining her position on her 36-year old boyfriend's toilet for that long. Whipple described the woman as seemingly disoriented upon their arrival. "She said that she didn't need any help, and that she was OK and did not want to leave," said Whipple, as quoted on World Net Daily. The woman's boyfriend had called the police reporting saying that something was wrong with his girlfriend. During the entire extent of her stay on his toilet, he had reportedly been bringing her food and water. The woman primarily refused any assistance or medical help. Eventually, she was convinced by the authorities to receive medical services. "We pried the toilet seat off with a prybar and the seat went with her to the hospital," said Whipple. "The hospital removed it.“ The authorities are suspecting mistreatment from the boyfriend, and they are currently looking into the situation, reported the UPI. The woman was pronounced to be in fair condition. The boyfriend continuously claimed that sitting on the toilet for two years was her idea. Police, however, were wondering why it took him two years to call for assistance.
    23. Naked Man Found Stalking Alligator March 12, 2008 POLK COUNTY, Fla. -- A man who was rescued from the jaws of an alligator by deputies two years ago was taken into custody after officers spotted him naked and apparently stalking an alligator, according to a sheriff's report. Deputies patrolling Saddle Creek in Lakeland said they found an abandoned pickup near a pond early Friday and investigated. During a search of the area, officers said they found Adrian Apgar of Polk City standing naked in the water about 50 feet from the shore. He was walking toward an alligator, the report said. Deputies were able to talk Apgar out of the water without incident. Apgar told deputies that he had been bitten by a snake and was looking for an alligator. "He told deputies that he knew he was gambling with his life," Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said. "Our deputies have been placed in danger twice as a result of this man's actions." Apgar was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center. The report said four officers rescued Apgar from the jaws of an alligator in November of 2006. Apgar faces possible charges in connection with the incident, the sheriff's report said. Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.
    24. Sexy time A new study pegs the ideal duration for intercourse at seven to 13 minutes. But sex therapists say couples should keep the stopwatch out of the bedroom March 6, 2008 at 12:44 AM EST Good sex needn't last all night. In fact, experts now say it shouldn't drag on longer than an episode of Sex and the City . The best sex, according to new research published Wednesday in The Journal of Sexual Medicine, lasts a whopping seven to 13 minutes, plus a little foreplay. The study, based on a survey of 33 qualified Canadian and U.S. sex therapists, found that one to two minutes of intercourse for a heterosexual couple is “too short,” three to seven minutes is “adequate” and 30 minutes is “too long.” Between seven and 13 minutes of intercourse is “desirable,” the experts said. But that doesn't mean people should program their bedside timers. Seven minutes would be brief for some women, said Carolyn Syme, manager of Love Nest, a sex shop in North Vancouver. “I think they'd want to go longer,” she said. “And yet, some women say it goes on way too long.” “Any generalizations regarding what is normal or an adequate length of time for intercourse should be taken with a sizable grain of salt,” said Alex McKay, research co-ordinator for the Sex Information and Education Council of Canada. “It's not time that matters, it's the quality of the experience.” Slide 1 of 2
    25. Other researchers pointed out that women and men vary widely in what turns them on and what they want out of sex. “What we found in our research is that women, in particular, are incredibly complex,” said Robin Milhausen, assistant professor in human sexuality and family relations at the University of Guelph in Ontario. For her research on sexual arousal, she has interviewed women ranging in age from 18 to 80. “Some said quick and spontaneous sex was exciting, while others wanted more intimacy,” she said. Sandra Byers, a sex therapist and chairwoman of the department of psychology at the University of New Brunswick, said some of her research has shown that men and women in heterosexual relationships often wish intercourse lasted longer than it does in reality. But with better communication, that almost always can be achieved, she said. Start your engines A new study published Wednesday in The Journal of Sexual Medicine asked qualified Canadian and U.S. sex therapists what they thought was the ideal duration for intercourse. Researchers calculated the medians for several variables. Too short: 1.25 minutes Adequate: 4.91 minutes Desirable: 8 minutes Too long: 19.96 minutes   GlobeLife Slide 2 of 2
    26. French women 'are the sexual predators now'   French women are becoming increasingly assertive in their sexual habits, while one-in-five younger French men "has no interest in sex", according to one of the most comprehensive surveys of the nation's love lives.Women now have more than twice as many partners as they did in the 1970s, according to the study by the French Aids research agency, which is backed by the government.  "Are women just like men?" asked Le Nouvel Observateur yesterday, which released extracts of the Study on Sexuality in France, a 600-page tome that brings together 12,000 in-depth interviews with people of all ages conducted during 2005-06. One of the biggest changes in recent years, according to the report, was that male and female sexual behaviour had become increasingly similar. The proportion of French women who claim to have had only one partner has dropped from 68 per cent in 1970, to 43 per cent in 1992 and 34 per cent in 2006. A woman's average number of partners has risen from under two in 1970 to over five today, while a man's has remained the same for four decades, almost 13. French women's first experience of sex is now almost as early as that of the opposite sex: in 1950 there was a two-year difference, but the gap has narrowed to four months, to around 17 and a half. Meanwhile, more women remain sexually active for longer than previously: nine-out-of-10 women over 50 are sexually active today, compared to just 50 per cent of that age group in 1970. "The good old dichotomy (male predators, females patiently awaiting the warrior's return in front of the cave entrance) is in big trouble", said Le Nouvel Observateur.
    27. We've all seen 007's watch, that red laser can cut through anything it needs to. Now in our developed world we have technology that does better; lasers in any color of the rainbow. They are so visible in daylight you need to wear protective glasses just to look at the beam. Although they cannot fit inside a watch yet, these military grade burning lasers are only the size of a pen but can cut like a knife , light things on fire , and have their beam be visible any where you point it; hundreds of miles away! Although many places sell these lasers, to get ones with power, beauty, and the ability to make you the feel like a ninja, you have to go to a place rightfully called WickedLasers .
    28. Ferrari won't stretch its reputation as copyright row breaks out over world's fastest limo The world's fastest limousine - a 170mph stretch Ferrari - is facing the chop after the supercar maker threatened legal action - for infringing its trademark. Stunned owner Dan Cawley has been ordered to remove all badges from the 20ft-long, 400bhp limo and told never to modify a Ferrari again. Lawyers claim that since he cut the 360 Modena in half and stretched it with a 9.5ft section of hand-built carbon fibre, it is no longer a Ferrari.
    29. Scientists uncover Kylie's secret Scientists believe they have discovered the secret of tiny Kylie Minogue's perfect legs. Research found the average 5ft 4ins woman would need shapely 30.5in long legs to reach perfection. However, very long legs are not necessarily better because the study showed those with an extra 10% were actually rated as less attractive. The findings could explain why Kylie Minogue, despite being only 5ft tall, regularly tops polls of the "best celebrity legs". Although her legs are petite, they are proportionally long compared with her small frame, reports New Scientist. Polish researchers at Wroclaw University asked 218 male and female volunteers to rate, in order of attractiveness, seven silhouettes of a man and woman. Although the images were the same height, each had different leg lengths. The most attractive were judged to be those with legs that were five per cent longer than average. Dr Boguslaw Pawlowski, who led the study, said that long legs signal health. Short legs were linked with a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
    30. Chinese leader offered to 'give' 10M women to USA During a 1973 meeting with U.S. envoy Henry Kissinger, Chairman Mao Zedong offered to give the United States up to 10 million Chinese women, according to documents released by the State Department. "You know, China is a very poor country," Mao is quoted as saying during the exchange. "We don't have much. What we have in excess is women. So if you want them we can give a few of those to you, some tens of thousands." The Chinese leader drew laughter when he returned to the proposition a few minutes later. "Do you want our Chinese women? We can give you 10 million." he said, adding: "We have too many women ... They give birth to children and our children are too many." Here are some excerpts from the transcript : Mao: The trade between our two countries at present is very pitiful. It is gradually increasing. You know China is a very poor country. We don’t have much. What we have in excess is women. (Laughter) Kissinger : There are no quotas for those or tariffs. Chairman Mao: So if you want them we can give a few of those to you, some tens of thousands. (Laughter) Prime Minister Chou: Of course, on a voluntary basis. Mao: Let them go to your place. They will create disasters. That way you can lessen our burdens. (Laughter) * * *
    31. Mao: Do you want our Chinese women? We can give you 10 million. (Laughter, particularly among the women.) Kissinger: The chairman is improving his offer. Mao: By doing so we can let them flood your country with disaster and therefore impair your interests. In our country we have too many women, and they have a way of doing things. They give birth to children and our children are too many. (Laughter) Kissinger: It is such a novel proposition, we will have to study it. Mao: You can set up a committee to study the issue. That is how your visit to China is settling the population question. (Laughter) Kissinger: We will study utilization and allocation. Mao: If we ask them to go I think they would be willing. Chou: Not necessarily. Mao: That’s because of their feudal ideas, big nation chauvinism. Kissinger: We are certainly willing to receive them. * * * Mao: Girls. (Prime Minister Chou laughs.) Today I have been uttering some nonsense for which I will have to beg the pardon of the women of China. Kissinger: It sounded very attractive to the Americans present. (Chairman Mao and the girls laugh.) * * *
    32. Mao: We have so many women in our country that don’t know how to fight. Miss Tang: Not necessarily. There are women’s detachments. Mao: They are only on stage. In reality if there is a fight you would flee very quickly and run into underground shelters. Miss Wang: If the minutes of this talk were made public, it would incur the public wrath on behalf of half the population. Mao: That is half of the population of China. Chou: First of all, it wouldn’t pass the Foreign Ministry. Mao: We can call this a secret meeting. (Chinese laughter) Should our meeting today be public, or kept secret? Kissinger: It’s up to you. I am prepared to make it public if you wish. Mao: What is your idea? Is it better to have it public or secret? Kissinger: I think it is probably better to make it public. Mao: Then the words we say about women today shall be made nonexistent. (Laughter) Kissinger: We will remove them from the record. (Laughter) We will start studying this proposal when I get back. Mao: You know, the Chinese have a scheme to harm the United States, that is, to send ten million women to the United States and impair its interests by increasing its population. Kissinger: The chairman has fixed the idea so much in my mind that I’ll certainly use it at my next press conference. (Laughter) USA Today
