BodyTite(TM) - Study Case Report: RFAL - Presentation Transcript

    1. CE and ISO Cleared FDA Pending Study Case Report: Radio-Frequency Assisted Liposuction ™ Before 1 Week 12 Weeks 18 Weeks Patient: 57 Female with BMI of 27.6 Areas Treated:Abdomen, Left Flank & Medial Thighs Anesthesia: Oral medication sedation:Vicodin ES, Torado 60 mg injection, Keflex 500 mg Procedure: This patient presents a common surgical dilemma: fat reduction without excisional surgery. She is 57 years old with excess adipose fat, skin laxity of the abdomen, and a slightly larger left flank. The prime concern was to ensure that post surgery she would not have the saggy loose skin overhanging in the abdominal area. The patient was treated in10x10 cm zones (deep, mid, superficial; corresponding widths of 6 to 3 on the handle), until there was no resistance in the deep and mid layers and the superficial treatment showed a skin surface temperature of approx 36.7 degrees centigrade. This temperature was maintained for several minutes. RFAL exposure was as follows: right upper quadrant for 4 minutes, right lower quadrant for 14 minutes, lower left quadrant for 10 minutes, left upper quadrant for 5 minutes and left flank for 4 minutes. For the final touches after all the treatment zones are completed, a long 4 millimeter three holed traditional liposuction cannula is used to remove the emulsified fat until there was a thinner, but uniform, fat layer and appropriate body contour. The RFAL’s thermal treatment allows this final stage to be performed with less blood and trauma, as the area has already been coagulated. Pinch tests and a roller confirmed uniform fat distribution. Aspiration: 2000cc (400cc epigastric area, 1200cc lower and mid abdomen, 200cc left hip, 100 cc right medial thigh, 100 left medial thigh) Total Energy: 78.9 km/J Post-Op Care: Incision closed with 3-0 Prolene. Compression foam for 1 week, elastic garments another 3 weeks.
