  • Not all bad. Done properly can have a positive effect IF you know & follow the rules!
  • Social media is like one big cocktail party. Rules of SOCIAL ETIQETTE are the same. Meeting new people, hanging out with people we like. LISTEN, ASK, NEVER SHOUT.
  • AUTHENTIC: Hugh Jackman “Sydney Opera CENTER” not Opera House. Obvious it wasn’t him tweeting. HONEST: admitted it was US Publicist & promised to tweet himself. Don’t let fear of failure stop you. Just admit mistakes & be authentic and honest

  • SCENARIO – a popular blogger ROBERT SCOBLE stayed at Hotel Cairns, had a bad meal & because he was in a bad mood, also happened to tweet & blog about his experience. He has 120,000 followers. The media picked up the story & its giving Cairns a bad name. How would you respond?
  • Its important to enjoy yourself or engage some professionals to help
