Activity 1: Rethinking a Level Combined Group Activity: (10 minutes) Subgroup 1 activity: (25 minutes) Compare and critique the Learning Outcomes from your two subgroups - Range and types of activities, resources, support, formative assessments Lectures, seminars, labs, u-Link formative assessment for programming (peer led + mode rated). Media, online (e-resources), library resources. Number of less-chunky Learning Outcomes Students can implement elementary computational tasks in a procedural prog. Language or Excel? Basic data analysis & mathematical techniques to applied to business models. Partitioning for the study blocks Algorithm & procedural programming (20 credits) Study Skills (10 credits) Maths & Stats up to A-Level (30 credits) Computational modelling using Excel / SPSS (20 credits) Business / Management (40 credits) Operational research, probability, risk, random scenario generation.

Activity 1: Rethinking a Level Subgroup 2 activity – completely independently of Subgroup 1: (25 minutes) Range and types of Assessments that would be able to test the Chunky Learning Outcome Formative – Library & Web data Acquisition Report & Presentation writing / giving, team working – delegation of duties & responsibilities Summative – Answer key quantitative questions, precise relative to specifics Number of less-chunky Learning Outcomes Perform a “what if” study, write an executive summary, technical report , create & give a presentation, team working, correct statistical analysis, determination of optimal points, computation of scenarios, modelling of data, simulation. Partitioning of the Level into assessment blocks Quantitative Theory , Calculations, interpretive (60 credits) Qualitative / Practical - Presentation & Precise. (40 credits) Soft & transferable skills – Writing, presenting, team working (20 credits)
