  2. 2. Defination of a Shape <ul><li>A shape is an element of art, that is in an enclosed space, the boundaries of the shape are defined by other elements such as a line, color, value, texture. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Shapes <ul><li>Basic element of Design and Graphics </li></ul><ul><li>Alone or with other shapes or lines they can convey universal meanings as well as guide the eye or organize information </li></ul>
  4. 4. Geometrical Shapes <ul><li>They are structured, often symmetrical shapes </li></ul><ul><li>Some Examples are squares, triangles, circles and also octagons, hexagons, and cones </li></ul>
  5. 5. Natural Shapes <ul><li>Found in nature or they can be man-made </li></ul><ul><li>Leaves are the example are a natural shape </li></ul><ul><li>An ink blob is a natural shape </li></ul><ul><li>Natural shapes are often fluid and irregular </li></ul>
  6. 6. Abstract Shapes <ul><li>Stylized or simplified versions of natural shapes </li></ul><ul><li>Symbols found on signs, such as the stylized wheelchair shape for handicapped access are one example </li></ul>
