  • Greetings. Hello, Good morning everyone! Nice to meet you here. I ’ m really glad to talk to you today. 2. Today we will be talking about Pure love. Actually this is only about “ Love ” . Pure Love has to be called just Love, however, there are many kinds of loves in this world, we ’ ve got to recognize which is the real love and which is the love that can hurt me. Then how can we find the real love? How can you determine whether it is true love or false love? There are many different forms of love which can be confusing. However one thing we can find out is that there ’ s only one which is unchanging. What is it? It ’ s God. God ’ s heart and love. Whatever happens to him, wherever he goes, he ’ s not changing, he is an absolute being. So If we understand the concept of “ Pure Love ” , centering on God, we can easily recognize and extinguish the different types of love. 3. Ok, we are going to talk about “ Love ” , ready?
  • Good morning everyone. I ’ m glad to talk to all of you today. Are you familiar with the word LOVE? Maybe all of us heard about it, right? Some say love is a river. Some say love is a razor and some say it is a flower. Can you describe what love is? You? And how about you? What is love for you? Ok, we have so many concepts about LOVE. Anyway, today we will be talking about love, not only love but pure love. You know, there are different kinds of love. Then how can we determine that love is good or bad? How can we know that love is true or not? Hmmmmmmmmmm. What do you think? But one thing that is for sure, thing that is unchanging … do you know what is that? It ’ s God. God ’ s heart and love for all of us doesn ’ t change in any situations. Do you agree? God ’ s love is true and pure. So if we can understand the concept of Pure Love centering on God ’ s Love we can easily recognize and distinguish the different types of love. So now, we will be talking about LOVE, are you ready?
  • We are born in Love, Live in Love, Die in Love … Our life itself is Love. Who did you meet when you were born? Your parents and your family, right? We are born within Family We died within Family We live in our life as a member of family, Yes? We are influenced a lot from family in our life We can learn the most valuable thing, Love and relationship within family. So Family is very important to us. Family is the school of children.
  • I want to ask you, you are all students diba? Why you study? To finish and find stable job? What if you have stable job? To help my family? So what then if you help your family? What can you gain from it? I want my family to be happy. That ’ s it! We do things that can make us happy, that can make our love ones happy also. Just the same with love. Why we love? We love because we want to feel happiness by receiving it and giving it to somebody. Nobody wants to love just to make oneself sad. Usually, we don ’ t make things that can make us sad and miserable.
  • How about us? Why our loves are different? Some are happy and some are unhappy because of love. Why is this so? Let us try to check the most common situations in our youth today. Before engaging in a relationship, there should be first appreciation and admiration to each other, dibA? Then started to develop and become attracted to each other. After that, what would be the next? They become close and intimate. Then? Some would end to break-up and some marry. But after marriage there are still many who separated and some become more faithful and love each other forever. How about us? What do we want? Do we want to love forever and build a happy family?
  • Why our loves are different? Some are happy and some are unhappy because of love. Why is this so? People get hurt because of love and some commit suicide because of love. What’s wrong here? Is it really “love” that we know? Love here is conditional, getting smaller, self-centered. This is false love.
  • Then, what is our ideal of love. It means the love that we hoped for. In a relationship, what do you want? Do you want your partner to love more than 2 or 3 or more aside from you? Or do you want that your partner would only love you? We want to be loved the only one diba? We want that our partner will only love us because one is unique from the other. I am different from others. So my love is also unique. It means only one man for one woman and vise versa at a time. Especially in love relationship between husband and wife. Their love should be exclusive. That cannot be shared to anybody else. If we share this kind of love, it loses it ’ s value. And it can cause many problems in our society like family breakdown. Let ’ imagine in a family, if your Father love another woman aside form your mother, what do you feel? We feel sad diba? Our family will become miserable. In each certain type of love, there ’ s certain uniqueness in each of it. Love between siblings is different from love between parents and children. But in that uniqueness, there is a standard on which measures its value. And it ’ s the standard of the love of God.
  • What do you want? Do you want your partner to change according to situation? Would you like a relationship that is unstable? That your partner can just change you whenever he/she doesn ’ t like you anymore? Would you to change as you change your clothes? Or you want your partner to stand by you in any situation in good times and in bad times? Those who can understand and persevere more in any circumstances? In a family, for example your mother got sick or have a cancer and your father will leave her because he can ’ t take care of her. What would you feel? Or even though your mother has cancer and your father still stay by her side and support her, what would you feel? You will be happy diba? Despite of difficult situation they are still supporting and loving each other. Do you want to have partner who possess like that? That ’ s why love should be unchanging! In a relationship, we should become mature.
  • Would you like that unchanging love to just end? Just like having a time limit? Who among you here experienced having a relationship for 3 months? 6 months? 1 year? 2 years? 3 years? More than 3 years? Would you like your love to just end after 3 years? When you love somebody, would you say “ I love you until next year. ” ? Or like having an expiration date like goods? We want our love to be eternal di ba? Love without end … if love has no end, happiness also has no end. We will be happy forever. How wonderful when people love each other for eternity. And all are also happy for eternity. All people are smiling diba? This world would be such a glorious and happy world also. That ’ s why love should be eternal. True love is love without end. When we see our lolos and lolas still love each other even they are old, we feel very happy seeing them being together all throughout their lives. It just shows that love doesn ’ t end even death cant stop that love. It also shows that true love doesn ’ t fade! Do we want that our partner will still love and faithful to us even though we are already dead?
  • “ God is love and love comes from God ” God ’ s perspective of love One standard Unconditional So then, if love is unique, unchanging and eternal, there should be only one standard that these loves should follow. It is the standard of love that is come from God. We say “ God is Love ” . So we should see love in God ’ s perspective, in God ’ s absolute standard. It is the most quality of all attributes, the absoluteness of love in order that our love can make us happy. We should only follow one standard, it is …… . God ’ s absolute standard. Ok? So again, what should be the ideals of love so that we will be happy? Love should be … .absolute, unique, unchanging and eternal … got it?
  • Love is like a 900-day whirlwind. Last 18mon – 31mon It means that in the first 900 days a couple living together, their love is very much passionate. But beyond that period their love start to fluctuate and some break the relationship.
  • Passion is not Love – one part Passionate love is the starting point of the real love Real Love, true love is … Not only passionate But be responsible, understanding and care If do only passionate love exist?? We can not make our love “ What can I give to make this relationship lasting and beautiful rather than what can this person give me ” Love me the way I am! Love him/her the way he/she is! ACCEPTANCE
  • And to make ideal love … what we need? True love and Pure love! “ God is love and love comes from God ” God ’ s perspective of love One standard Unconditional
  • What is difference between true love and false love. Briefly, true love is living for the sake of others and false love is self-centered love. (O.K now let us look into what true love and false love is?) Let ’ s look at some examples. The best example of true love is mother ’ s love. - When a mother breast feeds a child, what do you think she is thinking? Does she want something in return or does she want the baby to be healthy? What do you think? Maybe she wants the baby to be healthy and grow well. This is exactly true love. True Love gives, forgets that it has given, and continues to give without end but, false love fundamentally has a selfish mind and a mind that only wants to get. True Love is living for the sake of others and it is sacrificial love for the sake of the greater purpose. ---if we practice this true love in our life (among siblings, classmate, etc) we can easily apply this true love to our future spouse who is 100 different from me. So that we can make happy home!.
  • Mind and physical pure love : Pure Love is for the sake of the partner and it ’ s the way love yourself. It means that it ’ s not only control your sexual relationship but also realize your real value so that keep your pure mind and pure body
  • Why we need pure love and true love? In our society today there are many kinds of youth problems like premarital sex, teenage pregnancy, unmarried mother or father, STDs and of course through these there are many family breakdowns. And through that, our future will become miserable. However, if we have pure love and true love, we will be free from all of these problems. We can make the love and family in the future and we can have a very bright future. Do you want it?
  • Then, may I ask you another question again?. What do you feel if you hear the word, sex? How do you feel? Some students here are turning red now. Maybe, because of the negative ideas. How do you feel? *expected answers: sex is yucky, disgusting, shameful, what adults did in bed. Some of your answers might say, sex is not a good thing.
  • You said the most important things are love and life (human beings), right? Then where did life come from? Though what? Love. Specifically, sexual relationship!! My point is that sexual relationship is related with not only pleasure but also beautiful love and precious life. But when we think about love and life, we consider it as precious one, while when we think about sexual relationship, we feel shame. However, it related with each other. It’s weird!
  • We already learn about love a while ago. Now lets talk about sexuality. Most people misunderstood the word sex. By the way, what would you feel when you hear the word sex? Yucky? Taboo? Bastos? We feel that it should not be the topic to be talked about in the public, right? Why we have this kind of concepts? But don ’ t you know that the real value of sex is good? We just think that it is bad because it has been misused by many people. If we think that it is bad and bastos, please think of it, where we came from, how we came about? If that is bad then we are came from a bad and bastos thing. Do you like it? That we came from bad actions? No! The real value of sex is it is the action of love based on conscience, it can conceive precious life and it gives the most pleasure. Most people only think of pleasure. That ’ s why we think it is bad, but if we use it based on our conscience it is a very good thing. Understand?
  • So, do you want to love with the Mr/Ms Right? But when is the right time? It is only during marriage. When our parents approved it. Even our friends will approve and become happy for us. And of course it ’ s the time when God already blessed our marriage. The bond of marriage between husband and wife is just like the key and the lock. The key will open the lock. So without the key, the lock won ’ t be open, diba? And if the lock is missing, the key is of no use, no value. So each is important for each other.
  • We are exposed to mass media and pornography. We can see in commercials or advertisements. Sex is being used to attract customers. And the most sad thing is that we can encounter them very easily. Through magazines and internets. Some because of curiosity but some meet it accidentally. Pornography didn ’ t think of the welfare of the people. They don ’ t talk about the results, they just tackle on excitements doing that thing. Don ’ t you think they just want our money, the profit that they can gain from selling those pornographic materials.
  • Nowadays we are exposed to all kinds of environment. Many companies are advertising their products for their benefits. So they are stimulating people ’ s sense especially our sexual senses. So people are using many kinds of sex appeal pictures and stories. Because of that, especially teenagers who don ’ t have any standard about life or experience have been effected by the commercial media. Little by little, it makes dual sexual structures. This is encourage our selfish character.
  • And now how can we practice pure love life?
  • First lets have conviction. We should have hope and belief that we can have a pure love life. Ok?
  • First step is we should follow our conscience. Most people say that it is the voice of God. It can guide us to the right direction thru finding our true north. It is our compass to do goodness.
I want to now emphasize the positive. Anybody here wake up in the morning and find motivation to go forward with thoughts like; “ I better watch out that I don ’ t get myself killed when I cross the road today ” or “ I must not catch AIDS ” . Studies have shown that people who are goal oriented (they set goals in life) are the ones who achieve the most and are the happiest. Note to Presenters: [Ask students to write down “ what do you want for your life? What do you want to achieve or become? If it were guaranteed that you could accomplish any five goals in your life and only those goals, what would they be? ” Give students time to write down, say five goals.] Anyone want to study and pursue a particular career or enter the business world? How about becoming a sports legend? Or a future Prime Minister or President of your nation? Or becoming a saint? Hands up those who think they will get married someday and have children? What qualities do you need to be a good husband or wife? A good father or mother? [get response. Write them on the black/white board. If possible define terms. Some possible answers include: love, trust, faithfulness, ability to listen and communicate, patience, sacrifice etc. Get students to rate themselves on a scale of one to ten for each of these qualities. Next, ask students “ hands up those who have already reached perfection? ” ] Most here realise that you have a “ little work ” to do before becoming a parent. If you are not ready to become a parent, is it smart to do something that would give you a child?
  • Having sex in the moment may seem like the best choice to make. However when stacked up against your life goals it may be the very thing that sidelines you and spoils your dreams. Think about the stress and anxiety that people go through wondering whether they have AIDS or some other STI. Think of the teenager who becomes pregnant and throws away the opportunity to finish high school and go on to university. In the process the chances are very probable she will be abandoned by her lover and bring shame upon the family. What will that do to the self esteem of such a teenager? What about the emotional and psychological damage experienced by teenagers who experience premature sex? What goes through the mind of a teenager who has to cope with feelings of depression and anger after their boyfriend or girlfriend has walked out on them for someone else? Is their a positive correlation between premature teenage sex and rebelliousness, drug and alcohol abuse? Statistics show that teens who have lost their virginity are more likely to suffer emotional instability which may be expressed as having suicidal thoughts, rebelling against parents or those in authority positions, depression etc.

  • Pure Love Pledge
    • The pure relationship of love between a man and a woman is a sacred gift from God, to be cherished and honored for the sake of building a true family, a healthy society, and a world of peace for future generations. Once that love is consummated, it should never be broken.
    • Therefore, from now on, I commit myself to :
    • Respect and honor the ideal of purity in myself and others;
    • Practice pure love as a child, friend, sibling, spouse, and parent;
    • Refrain from all sexual relationships before marriage;
    • Dedicate myself to absolute fidelity within marriage;
    • Encourage others to do the same.
    • SO HELP ME GOD.
