  • 1. Professional experience Since 2000 Microsoft Austria, Vienna Strategic Consultant Responsibilities: Sales & Marketing, Financial Controlling, Human Resource Management & Project Management Focus on: Within my job role my main focuses are on Business Consulting and Project Management in the area of international enterprise customers and partners. As a project leader my engagements are targeting high risk and high impact projects, while as a business consultant my goals are to support new partners in order to help them to establish new business chains. I have to develop new business strategies, marketing guide lines and development plans for sales people and technical staff. Project Leader/Manager As a Project Leader, my main responsibilities are to engage in large international software and infrastructure projects (140 sites worldwide) with high risk and aligning these projects with the business goals of our customers and partners focusing on mergers and acquisitions on one hand and de-mergers, decentralization and de- layering on the other hand. Program Development / Marketing During my engagements I have the chance to develop Go-to-Markets within Microsoft or as a Microsoft employee at partner sites. Crucial for the success of our go-to-markets is to directly link them to the new business visions and build up a consistence communication strategy for every market segment that is directly related to the business goals of the partner. Business Development / Sales Leading virtual teams within Microsoft and partner in order to develop joint sales strategies and competitive alerting systems in order to secure and leverage market shares within the Austrian and Eastern Europe market through direct, indirect and joint sales processes. Practice Development / Human Resource Development Within this area it is vital to get the “buy in” of people especially those you are not directly managing, like people working within a matrix organization or virtual teams across companies. In order to support above mentioned goals I have to make gap analysis in order to know where information and knowledge issues occur and I have to plan a mitigation strategy by establishing workshop and training series. Financial Strategy Another focus within my role is to help in reorganizations focusing on process redefinition and development in order to streamline processes and costs with the intention of controlling project costs to be more effective and efficient.

  • 3. Technical Experience On the basis of my seven plus years of working experience as a consultant within the IT world, I am always targeting a holistic view of the IT environment of my customers. In my opinion, this is crucial in order to leverage customer and partner experience. My experience could be clustered in following areas: Operational Efficiency In order to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness I am counselling customers in building up customized frameworks targeting operations and security based on ITIL, COBIT and Microsoft Operations Framework. High Availability I have developed consultant offerings for the Eastern Europe Region targeting the Microsoft Windows Datacenter Program together with hardware vendors like EMC, Unisys and HP. Important within this area is that I have to establish a broader view at our partners and customers side with the intention to leverage the understanding to do not only focus on servers and operating systems. It is essential to integrate storage solutions within their offering in order to build high availability solutions. Due to this engagement I have to roll out a lot of datacenter solutions and clusters targeting ERP and LOB applications. Consolidation In my opinion consolidation always starts on the storage side, because you need a good data infrastructure in order to consolidate servers and applications. Within this area my main targets are database-, messaging-, ERP- and file services, where I have worked together with our enterprise customers to homogenize their IT environment. Migrations During migrations of servers, clients and storage I have worked together with our global customers in order to plan migration scenarios for global data centres as well as for branch offices. Therefore I have to develop solutions and migration paths in order to implement new IT strategies and environments. Hand in hand with these projects are the restructuring of data sources, data management and operational processes.
