Career Highlights Instructional Designer & Technical Writer I have a broad experience in the computer industry with major hardware and software manufacturers, including high-end digital effects for film and television and 14+ years contracting as an IT technical writer and instructional designer. My strengths are in technical writing, online help, ITIL-based process documentation, procedures, web page design, IT training centre management, instructional design and teaching. I am client focused. I place emphasis on achieving cost effective results in key areas. I like to work in alignment with team milestones and objectives, and corporate goals. I have tertiary programming and teaching qualifications. I am able to develop web sites, authorware, courseware and documentation from functional specifications with little supervision. I am resourceful in locating information and experienced in liaising with subject-matter experts. Achievements I have established five computer training centres for various large computer companies. I co-founded and administered Canberra Lifeskills Seminars, a not-for-profit, community and professional development training organisation, run by volunteers - whom I supervised. This organisation is still operating successfully in Canberra today and is attended by a diverse range of professional people seeking practical stress management skills.  I designed and developed a 60 minute interactive CD-ROM multimedia training course on "International Humanitarian Law" for Red Cross in seven working days with a team of nine others.
