    • August 2008 Update Course Development Roadmap, Q3 The purpose of this document is to share SkillSoft’s intended roadmap for delivering new courses in the coming 12 months to extend the coverage of our industry-leading content offerings and libraries. As the largest learning-solutions provider focused uniquely on e-learning, SkillSoft annually delivers an industry-leading number of new interactive e-learning products. Q2 releases of new products reached a total of 253 including 105 new English IT and Business products, 132 new Localized products and 16 new Business Impact and Challenge Series products. In addition, we released the final 25 business skills courses that were redeveloped and released to incorporate our latest narrated animation design techniques and improved audio. The total number of products released in Q2 represents 117% achievement of our Q2 goals. The course development priorities shown here for the next 12 months are driven by extensive customer feedback gathered through our Annual Customer Content Survey, currently underway now through September 30th, as well as through ongoing general customer feedback. The following pages show the subjects currently in our intended build plan for the next 12 months, as well as the courses we have released during the past 3 months. We believe it is important to clearly outline how we are prioritizing our development resources to enable you to better address your evolving workforce training requirements. Please note, however, that the subject areas outlined below and associated release dates are subject to change on an ongoing basis without notice. There are a number of reasons that can cause SkillSoft to adjust our plans, the most prominent being: 1) Changing priorities we hear from our overall customer base 2) Changing schedules from technology providers and certification sponsors on the timing for releasing new software versions and/or certifications 3) A change in legal statutes that require a change in our courseware in order to stay current with the law This document is updated and republished every 3 months, to offer a rolling 12-month outlook on the courses that are at the top of our priority list to deliver within the capacity of our extensive content development resources. SkillSoft has no obligation or commitment to develop or deliver any future release, upgrade, feature, enhancement or function described in this (document) except as specifically set forth in a written agreement. For further questions about these plans or to communicate a subject that would be a high priority for your organization, please contact your SkillSoft account representative. • August 2008 Update NoteWorthy Information SkillSoft Customer Content Survey SkillSoft’s annual content survey is currently underway. This year we are using an online survey tool making it easier and quicker to complete. If you would like to participate in the survey, please contact your sales representative. The annual customer content survey is designed to provide our customers with the opportunity to influence our development direction in the coming year. We appreciate that hundreds of our customers choose to participate in this survey each year. Live Learning Development Roadmap, Q3 Update The SkillSoft FY09 Live Learning build plan for the remainder of the year will consist of 7 virtual ILT classes in Q3 and another 7 in Q4 which will allow SkillSoft to maintain its strong position in both the Cisco and Microsoft ILT training spaces to meet core technical training requirements of our customers. As is typical with the Live Learning product line, the target release details remain somewhat dynamic, but are provided on a rolling 90-day cycle and updated monthly within the Live Learning Course Offerings listing. As the year progresses, requests from customers, industry trends, and product performance will be monitored for consideration in future plans, and in some cases, more immediate adjustments to the plan. Business Skills Retrofit/Upgrade Project Completed The 2008 Business Skills Retrofit/Upgrade project is completed with the last courses releasing the end of May. The Retrofit/Upgrade project consisted of converting existing business skills courses over to our new Common Course Architecture and making a number of improvements in the way of richer templates, a new presentation method referred to as “narrated animation”, and improved audio.
