  • 05-07 Funding - $13,223,000 For equipment replacement within existing building Millace Restriction – (Read Details) IBC and IFC Code mods. – Chillers and Boilers cannot be in the same environment due to mixing of gases and flame that the units use. Risk of explosion. Campus Growth – 700,000 sf of new or extensively renovated facilities between 2005 and 2011. Opportunities – Project timing – allows for major commitment to Gov and Pres. Commitments. Single project could exceed the benchmark for 70 state buildings by a significant margin. Arguably UO could be the greenest campus in the country Including EWEB’s energy needs will help impact the entire city of Eugene rather than just the UO. Doubles the Carbon footprint reduction for the community.
  • If the original deferred maintenance scope would have been pursued, the equipment would have been replaced by now in order to support current facilities. School of Music, Miller Theater and College of Education are the primary projects pushing the Phase 1 schedule. Lead time on Electrical Infrastructure is 2 years. This timeline is critical for stable and redundant power sources ASAP.
