Same applies to your LIFE TIME Goals, Break-up your life-time goals into long-term, medium-term, short-term, annual, monthly, weekly and daily goals. Just move one step towards your goal everyday. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 9: TIME is LIFE TIME is the only commodity what both RICH and POOR get in equal quantity… The only difference between RICH and POOR is its utilization. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 10: TIME is Money Everyday if You get Rs.86,400/- how will you use this money? Certainly you will plan for it. We get 86400 seconds everyday. The only difference between SUCCESS and FAILURE is its utilization. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 11: TIME MANAGEMENT • Plan your day, week, month, year, decade and Life (assuming it to be for average 60 years) • First thing first. Block your time for the most important things and in descending order according to the importance. • Highly successful people have their time-plan always ready with them for months ahead © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 12: Develop the essential habit of punctuality for it is most important for high success. Punctuality reflects discipline and proper regard for others. Without it, even the most sophisticated person appears slightly offensive. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 13: What is most important in the process of achieving GOALS? YOU must LIVE to achieve your goals. And, You must live HEALTHILY. Thus, give first priority to your health. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 14: How to stay healthy? • Sound sleep • Healthy food • Lots of hydration • Personal hygiene • Meditation for a tranquil mind • Physical exercise © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 15: Early to Bed • Sleep before midnight doubles the relaxation than the one after the midnight. • One sleep cycle is completed in 90 minutes • 3-4 sleep cycles are sufficient to rejuvenate the body and mind • Scientific studies state that people who sleep 6 hours live longer than the ones who sleep 8 hours • TOP most successful people in the world sleep only 4 to 6 hours / day © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 16: Sound Sleep • Sleeping with head towards south and feet towards north direction is supposed to be most beneficial due to natural magnetic properties of earth • Before going to bed wash your face, hands and feet and give a gentle massage to your scalp with a hair brush/comb. • “Bhramari” (humming sound) pranayam helps in sound sleeping • Offer prayers and thank God for his kindness before going to sleep. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 17: Your Biological Clock The most efficient and effective alarm clock ever developed lies within our own minds. Try the following: 2. Sit in an easy chair ten minutes before you go to bed. 3. Shut your eyes & gently rest your hands on your knees. Breathe deeply for a few minutes. 4. Repeat this 20 times: “I will awake at 5 a.m. feeling fresh, alert and enthusiastic”. 5. Visualise yourself waking up at the desired time and imagine how great you will feel. You will soon start waking up at the desired moment after a little practice. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 18: Early to rise… Healthy, Wealthy & Wise • Our ancient books recommend that one should wake up around ONE and a HALF hour before the Sunrise • When you wake-up don’t sit or stand up immediately, while lying in the same position just press the centre of your forearm with your left thumb and massage it for 30 seconds in clock-wise direction. • According to Chinese acupressure theory, it is the energy center of body and this exercise helps you remain energetic for the whole day. • Sit down, remember God, thank him and rub your palms together to generate some heat and gently massage your face with warm hands. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 19: WATER • Water is the most important constituent of human body, and is a powerful natural antioxidant & cleansing agent. Ideal for a normal adult: 12 glasses/day • You must start your day by drinking water as much as you can. To develop a habit start with 1 glass and gradually increase. • It is said that the excess of everything is bad except oral intake of pure water (unless advised otherwise by your doctor due to certain medical conditions) © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 20: A Good start means half the job done • Set aside one hour every morning for personal development matters • Keep some time for physical exercises/yoga • Practice basic hygiene • Meditate, offer prayers – ‘Prayers are always answered’ • Visualize and plan your day, read inspirational texts to set the tone of your day, listen to motivational tapes or read great literature. • Starting the day off well is a powerful strategy for self renewal © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 22: Meditation Recognize the power of meditation and the repetition of positive, powerful words - mantras. Indian yogis have used this technique for over 4000 years to live tranquil, productive and focused lives. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 23: Positive Environment • Aromas are proven to be an effective means of relaxation • Scents have a very noticeable effect on your mindset and moods. That’s the reason incense sticks have a good impact on meditation • Fill your home with bright, fresh flowers. This is one of the best investments you can make • Let the sounds of great music, loud laughter and good fun fill the oasis of your home © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 24: Mother Nature • Spend time with Nature. Natural settings have a powerful effect on your senses, which in turn leads to a sense of renewal, refreshment and peace. • Go outdoors and look up into the blue sky for half an hour. Note the supremely strong feeling that you get when you are connected to Nature. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 25: Laughter – The Best Medicine • Laugh for 5 minutes in the mirror each morning. It’s a good yoga exercise as laughter activates many beneficial chemicals within the body that place us into a very joyous state. • Laughter also returns the body to a state of balance. • A 4 year old laughs 500 times a day while the average adult is lucky to laugh 15 times a day. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 26: FOOD ENERGY • Indian ancient texts recommend a heavy breakfast for the people who are involved in physical activities. • Eat a fresh seasonal fruit everyday • Avoid eating fruits after the meal • Get into the habit of taking soups and more of complex carbohydrates such as rice, potatoes • A very heavy dinner is not recommended • Take “only fruit” dinner at least once a week © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 30: STAY FOCUSED • To enhance your concentration and power of FOCUS, count your steps when you walk. This is a particularly strong technique as most of us allow our mind to be filled with mental chatter • All peak performers appreciate the power of a quiet clear mind, which will concentrate steadily on all important tasks © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 31: ‘WILL-NOT’ POWER • Enhance your will-power. You must first exercise it and then push before it gets stronger. • When you are hungry, wait another hour before your meal. When you are laboring over a difficult task and your mind is prompting you to pick up the latest magazine for a break , curb the impulse. Soon you will be able to sit for hours in a precisely concentrated state. • Newton had a remarkable ability to sit quietly and think without interruption for a very long period of time. If he could develop this, so can you. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 32: Will Power Each day, do two things that you do not like doing. This may be the preparation of a report you have been putting off or shining your shoes. Slide 36: Be Teachable Empty your ego-cup. A full cup cannot accept anything more. Similarly, a person who believes that he knows everything cannot learn anything. He will stagnate quickly and not move to higher levels. Even the teachers have teachers. Continuous learning is thus a very important aspect of personal growth. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 39: Applied Knowledge Read positive books for at least 15-30 minutes a day. Do not take personal development books as gospel. Read them and take whatever useful ideas you need. Some people feel they must do everything suggested and take the techniques to extremes. Every book has at least one tool or strategy of benefit. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 40: Visit second-hand bookstores every few months searching for lost treasures of character-building books. You will find gems on public speaking, improving your habits, time management, personal health and other important subjects for low prices. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 45: You sow a thought, you reap an action. You sow an action, you reap a habit. You sow a habit, you reap a character. You sow a character, you reap a destiny. • The essence of a person is his character - make yours unique, unblemished and strong. • Do not say you will do anything unless you will indeed do it. • Speak the truth and measure your words wisely. • Be humble, straightforward and peaceful. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 49: Relationship Building Pick the relationships that you desire to improve over the next six months. Write out the names of these people and under each name detail why you want to improve the relationship, how you plan to do so and in what time frame. This is simply another facet of goal setting. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 50: Anger eats away your intellect Be known as someone with a cool head, warm heart and great character. Your presence on this earth will long be remembered. © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008

Slide 54: © Bharat Bhardwaj 2008
