If you go to hyperlink on word or open office you will see text to display as well as address. If you put BBC World News in text to display then that is what is display if you don’t then it will default to the url given.

Yes, but what if you want the link to appear as text, rather than the exact address? i.e. you want your link to say 'BBC World News' instead of 'http://news.bbc.co.uk'?

      • How to check hyperlinks
    • People want an instant answer, click a link and are taken there. The first thing to do with links is to ensure that they are all correct. It is too easy to make an error in typing the URL. Check all links before you create your PDF.
    • First let your mouse hover over the link.
    • CTRL + left click of your mouse
    • You will see word loading this site and then you will get it open in your browser.
    • You might be asked if you want to allow or block, always allow if you are working through your own links.
    • Be careful if you get this in a PDF because you might not be sure of the safety of the site.
