Reduct Company Presentation August 2009 - Presentation Transcript

    1. General Presentation August 2009
    2. About us Founded: September 2001 Offices: Schelle, Belgium (HQ) Evergem, Belgium (Assembly) Vancouver, Canada Main activity: Development of Gyroscopic Pipeline Mapping Systems for all Utility Infrastructures. System range: 32mm+
    3. Inertial measurement systems explained • Gyroscopic measurement systems contain a selection of inertial sensors including gyroscopes, accelerometers and magnetometers. + HEADING Sensor Sensor Electronics back left mid Power in Ø + ROLL Sensor Gyr-H Gyr-P Electronics back right Gyr-R Travel Direction Data port + PITCH Sensor main Length • Together these sensors form an Orientation Measurement Unit (OMU) • The OMU is carefully calibrated to align sensors
    4. Inertial measurement systems explained • The OMU is positioned inside the pipe and aligned as accurately as possible with the direction of the pipe. • The OMU is then moved through the pipe from entry to exit point. x • The sensors record changes in: – X direction – Y direction Roll – Z direction y – Roll position • Sampling occurs up to 800 Hz. z (800 samples per second)
    5. Inertial measurement system positioning Walkover Ground Traditional Gyroscopic Pipelines Beacon Penetrating Surveying Systems Systems Radar Shallow Shallow Existing depth depth only only Not Not Newly economically economically Trenched viable viable Shallow Shallow Trenchless depth depth only only
    6. Efficient moments to obtain XYZ data • New pipelines installations – Traditional trenching – Horizontal directional drilling – Pipe ramming/bursting – Tunneling • Existing pipelines – Rehabilitation – Maintenance
