Task 2 client brief report

  1. 1. Ben Turner Unit 4-Creative Media Production Management 24/10/12(Task 2-Client Brief Report)Contractual:Is a term that is used to describe the way employers or employees have agreed with signinga written contract for both parties. It has to be a formal meeting face to face where bothhave to officially decide whether or not to sign a written contract. If both agree then thereare laws put into place in which they both have to adhere to in order to make the contractofficial where this includes things within the Terms and Conditions such as, Costs etc. Inaddition to this, the contract may be drawn up by solicitors who represent certaincompanies in relation to clients who are working within a media organisation. In relation tothe CAMSFC (Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College) I would have to make an officialagreement between the client of a media company and the creator of the media productwhich is myself.

For instance, the governmentwillingness to negotiate with other members of parliament. It can also involve theobtainment of a contract in which has been discussed with the sellers so that they can beauthorised in return for the value of goods received. In relation to the CAMSFC (Cheadleand Marple Sixth Form College) I would also have to negotiate the agreement of a contractfor job vacancies with tutors and the careers team in order to apply for certain areas withinemployment. This snip shot shows how the Group Alliance negotiates business in relation to their work or acertain media product in which the contract that has been obtained will have been discussedwith the sellers so that it can be accredited in return for the value of the goods. It can alsoinvolve the use of annotations which can be obtained via a PC as a quicker and easier routetowards documenting everything that has been talked about within the negotiation.

The formal brief gets straight to the point anddoesn’t include unnecessary detail or information. In relation to the CAMSFC (Cheadle andMarple Sixth Form College) I would have to have a face to face discussion about the mainaspects of a media product whether it is altering the original intentions or expanding onideas for the product.See illustration below…..This screenshot shows how website builderscarry out a contract negotiation in terms ofhow they are going to gain authority orownership for a website where this will alsofollow the same procedures as explainedwithin the previous annotation above.
  6. 6. Ben Turner Unit 4-Creative Media Production Management 24/10/12(Task 2-Client Brief Report)This print screen shows how to write a brief formal letter in relation to looking for employmentwithin the ZAMBIA Company where this will include official and lawful proceedings in order tomake it easier for the client to read so that the writer can stand a chance of getting a job therebecause if there are any types of spelling and punctuation errors they will immediately discardthe formal letter.

In relation to the CAMSFC(Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College) I would be having face to face discussions with mytutors about work or anything related and I would be having drop in sessions in order tocatch up with any of the work as well. This snap shot shows how informal discussions are carried out within a media organisation or acompany where the agreement has been made unlawfully between two parties face to face orwithin a document.
  8. 8. Ben Turner Unit 4-Creative Media Production Management 24/10/12(Task 2-Client Brief Report)Commission:Is where someone is paying you for your own work ethic for creating a product for anyservices you may provide where this can be known as `Remuneration”.An example of suchas project that you are paid for would be to produce a website or something related to amedia product for a business. In relation to the CAMSFC (Cheadle and Marple Sixth FormCollege) the college itself would be paying students for the produce potential mediaproducts materials as part of their own experience in learning how to deal with completingany tasks related in order to get paid. Many parties maybe involved in the earlier stagesbefore going ahead with any venture and the best would be nominated and given thecommission.
  9. 9. Ben Turner Unit 4-Creative Media Production Management 24/10/12(Task 2-Client Brief Report)Tender:Is where a written offer has been applied towards the contract for goods or services at astated cost, rate or bid. It can also describe and explain how money or services are beingoffered in order to meet an obligation for a media company. In relation to the CAMSFC(Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College) I would have to write up a possible offer for amedia product where I am obliged to do certain things in order to try and sell the product. The screenshot and images above shows an example of a website that has been commissioned bynone-profit charity companies such as, BHF (British Heart Foundation) or Cancer Research UKwhere the expenditure differentiates in terms of the procedures that have been undertaken bythe charity companies that have been registered through the Charity Commission website. This image shows a sample of a written offer thathas been made by the GSSC Procurement inorder to present the goods and services towardsthe Customer Department Institution at a statedcost, rate or bid. It can be also be marked bythe willingness to cooperate with other members of staff within a media organisation aswell. In relation to the CAMSFC (Cheadle and Marple Sixth Form College) I would have tocooperate with other members within the ICT department in order to utilise the new ideasfor my digital video project. This snip shot shows an example of the cooperative briefing between both of the cooperatives ofthe Brazils 9thCongress where they have been sanctioned or managed jointly for the use offacilities and services towards the Media Industry. It also shows the desire of the cooperativesinteracting with each other which is essential because it will help them to effectively utilise theirown ideas in relation to a digital video project.
