CONCLUSION• Slavic imagery gives these stories authenticity• This is important to ground the work• Illustration is a HUGE area• Traditions in illustration differ from country to country• Believable setting is important to provide a solid foundation for characters, props, vehicles, creatures etc.• All elements must be aesthetically connected• To understand this idea of “place” we must understand the underlying cultural differences in artistic tradition.
