    La Comida De La Luna - Presentation Transcript

    3. Perlas de Cuentos can be used as emergency/substitute lesson plans or as makeup lessons for students who miss class. They are designed to last 40 – 45 minutes. There are 20 questions for each story. They are narrated in Spanish and have English translations. Click on the oyster to transition to the next slide without translation to English. Click on the Moon to get the English translation. Click on the Moon again to return to the original slide.     5. Había un chico llamado Eddie Tony. Todos lo llamaron “E.T.” E.T. era muy bajo y un poco feo. No tenía muchos amigos. A E.T. le gustó mucho comer.
    6. There was a boy named Eddie Tony. Everyone called him E.T. E.T. was very short and a little ugly. He didn’t have a lot of friends. E.T. loved to eat.

    9. Un día, E.T. decidió probar algo nuevo. Decidió comer comida de la luna.
    10. One day, E.T. decided to try something new. He decided to eat moon food.

      • What did he decide to do?
      • Who decided to try moon food?
    13. Fue a un restaurante. Fue a Moony Tuesday’s. Le dijo a la camarera: ¿Me puedes traer comida de la luna?
    14. He went to a restaurant. He went to Moony Tuesday’s. He asked the waitress: “Can you bring me moon food?”

      • ¿Qué le dijo a la camarera?

    17. La camarera no entendió nada. No hablaba inglés. Hablaba lunés. Le dio un menú y salió.
    18. The waitress didn’t understand anything. She didn’t speak English, she spoke Monday. She gave him a menu and left.

    21. E.T. leyó el menú pero no entendió nada. El menú fue escrito en otro idioma. Fue escrito en lunés.
    22. E.T. read the menu but he didn’t understand anything. It was written in another language. It was written in Monday.

    25. E.T. salió del restaurante en busca de un amigo que sabía lunés. Conoció a un perro que se llamaba Nariz.
    26. E.T. left the restaurant and went looking for a friend who knew Monday. He met a dog named Nose.

    29. Le invitó a Nariz a comer en Moony Tuesday. Después de un rato, Nariz aceptó y los dos fueron a Moony Tuesday.
    30. He invited Nose to eat at Moony Tuesday. After a while, Nose accepted and they both went to the restaurant.

    33. Entraron el restaurante y la camarera les dio un menú. E.T. le dijo a Nariz – Yo no hablo lunés. ¿Hablas tú lunés?
    34. They entered the restaurant and the waitress handed them a menu. E.T. said to Nose – I don’t speak Monday. Do you speak Monday?

    37. ¡Por supuesto! Hablo cuatro idiomas, Perro, inglés, español y lunés. Y le pidió a la camarera en lunés - ¿Nos puedes traer comida de la luna?
    38. Of course! I speak 4 languages, Dog, English, Spanish and Monday. He asked the waitress in Monday – Can you bring us moon food?
    39. La camarera les dio mucha comida de la luna. Los dos estaban muy muy muy contentos.
    40. The waitress gave them a lot of moon food. They both were very, very, very happy.
    41. E.T. estaba muy contento porque ahora tenía un amigo muy bueno llamado Nariz. Y también probó comida de la luna.
    42. E.T. was very happy because now he had a new friend named Nose. And he also tried moon food.
    43. 20. ¿Por qué estaba contento E.T.?
    44. 20. Why was E.T. happy?
