  2. 2. Shooting detailsLocation: Priestley college – PA.16Time & Date: 9:15am 3/12/12Lighting conditions: Indoor lighting, morningCamera: Canon 1100DAperture: Low - F/4Shutter Speed: 1/100 Commentary I asked my model to touch the Van der graaf generator so the electrostatics make her hair stands on end. I wanted the effect of electricity running through a person, as that is what the power of the drink provides.
  3. 3. Shooting detailsLocation: Priestley college – Drama StudioTime & Date: 9:15am 3/12/12Lighting conditions: Indoors, No lightingCamera: Canon 1100D Commentary: I got someone toAperture: F/4 wave the flash light on a phone.Shutter Speed: 5 seconds So it shows up as bright as possible, I tried to keep the room dark to get the best effect. To do this, I used long exposure on the camera settings. Which means this moving light has become clearly visible. This involves a long duration shutter speed to capture aspects of the image sharply. E.g. Blurring.
  4. 4. Shooting detailsLocation: Priestley college – PA.16Time & Date: 9:15am 12/12/12Lighting conditions: Indoors, No lighting blocked all light away with closed curtainsCamera: Canon 1100DAperture: F/18Shutter Speed: 3.2 secondsCommentary: Making sure alllight is kept from the room.Apart from the fairy lights, thatI got someone to wave around.I used the long exposuresetting to capture the motion of thesmall lights clearly. This leaves enough time for every bit of light to sink into the image, to produce the effect of still light.
  5. 5. Location: Priestley college – PA.16Time & Date: 9:15am 12/12/12Lighting conditions: Indoors, No lighting, blocked all light away with closed curtainsCamera: Canon 1100DAperture: F/18Shutter Speed: 8 secondsCommentary: I wanted tocreate an effect of electricityand sparks. I got someone towave the lights around indifferent directions and shapes.I took these picturesspecifically to be in thebackground of my brochure.
  6. 6. Location: Priestley college – PA.16Time & Date: 9:15am 12/12/12Lighting conditions: Indoors, No lighting blocked all light away with closed curtainsCamera: Canon 1100DAperture: F/18Shutter Speed: 2.5 secondsCommentary: I got someone to wavea phone around to create this effect.I blocked the light completely awayfrom the room, so that the focus wason the phone light. To do this, I usedslow shutter speed. I wanted thispicture for the front/back of mybrochure because it fits in well withthe blue brushes that I used in thebackground.
  7. 7. Shooting detailsLocation: Priestley college – PA.16Time & Date: 9:15am 3/12/12Lighting conditions: Indoor lighting, morningCamera: Canon 1100DAperture: F/4 Commentary: TheseShutter Speed: 1/100 pictures are similar to the other van der graaf generator pictures, but from different angles. I wanted to show the effect of the hair standing on end, to show the power of electric, throughout a person.
  8. 8. Shooting detailsLocation: Priestley college – PA.16Time & Date: 9:15am 12/12/12Lighting conditions: Indoors, No lighting blocked all light away with closed curtainsCamera: Canon 1100D Commentary:: This was aAperture: F/18 different set of fairy lights.Shutter Speed: 2.5 seconds I tried colourful ones. However, I preferred the effect of the white coloured lights. These lights weren’t as easy to wave around, so I couldn’t get the range of shapes and effects I wanted to gain from this.
  9. 9. Shooting detailsLocation: Priestley college – PA.16Time & Date: 9:15am 3/12/12Lighting conditions: Indoor lighting, morningCamera: Canon 1100D Commentary: IAperture: F/4Shutter Speed: 1/100 used the white infinity wall and set the equipment up in front of it. I got the model to keep hold of it until her hair stood up as much as possible.
  10. 10. Shooting detailsLocation: Priestley college – PA.16Time & Date: 9:15am 12/12/12Lighting conditions: Indoors, No lighting blocked all light away with closed curtainsCamera: Canon 1100D Commentary: This isAperture: F/18 another photo of theShutter Speed: 5 seconds phone screen waving motion. This was also to go on the front/back cover. I like the different effect it creates from the fairy lights. They are both doing similar things but look very different.
