The merger of Bank Zachodni WBK
and Kredyt Bank registered
Warsaw, 4th January 2013. The merger of Bank Zachodni WBK and Kredyt Bank has been
entered to the National Court Register. Hence, the merger of both banks is a fact. “To us, this
is the beginning of the new road - the real test. The bigger and stronger Bank Zachodni WBK
is facing adequately bigger and more ambitious market challenges” says Mateusz
Morawiecki, president of Bank Zachodni WBK.
The relevant entry to the Register of Entrepreneurs in the National Court Register which
states the merger of both banks, was made by the District Court for Wrocław- Fabryczna in
Wrocław (6th Business Division). As a result of this decision, Bank Zachodni WBK became
the legal successor and entered into all the rights and obligations of Kredyt Bank.
The merged Bank will operate under the name of Bank Zachodni WBK. As of 4 January this
year, the name of “Kredyt Bank” will be used as a trademark for products and services offered
by Bank Zachodni WBK. Legal changes arising from this decision do not require customers’
involvement or their visits to branches.
Agreements a party to which were existing customers of Kredyt Bank remain in force and do
not need to be annexed. Bank account numbers do not change either and all the cards and
PIN numbers remain active. The same rules will continue to underpin KB24 and KBNet
electronic banking systems and infoline. “Kredyt Bank” customers will continue to be serviced
as they are, i.e. in “Kredyt Bank” branded branches.
The integration of the merged banks has been spread into stages so that the process is in no
way cumbersome for customers, while the necessary changes will be communicated by Bank
Zachodni WBK to customers in advance. ”We are building a bank which aspires to become
the first choice bank for Poles and create a new, better quality in the banking sector”
highlights Mateusz Morawiecki, president of Bank Zachodni WBK. ”Not only do we want to
ensure stability and security for our customers but we also want to offer such financial
solutions which will make us positively distinct among our competitors. Grateful for the trust
vested in us, I wish to express my belief that using products and services of bigger Bank
Zachodni WBK will be a source of satisfaction and guarantee of professionalism for our
customers” adds Morawiecki.
