  2. 2. ACADIA 1 AWD models 16 city/23 hwy. EPA-estimated mpg. 2 Excludes other GM vehicles. You insist on great capability coupled with exceptional safety. You require seating for up to eight in a vehicle that can travel over 500 highway miles1 on a tank of gas —and better highway fuel economy than any other 8-passenger SUV.2 you value advanced technology and thoughtful ergonomics. In other words, you want a premium utility that rejects compromise. You want the gmc Acadia: the realization of what happens when you engineer to exceed expectations. 134024_IFCb_2.indd 1 7/6/09 5:13:44 PM

Excludes other GM vehicles. 1 Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution. The first thing you’ll notice about Acadia is how its low stance creates an easy step up for effort- less entry. A low liftover height means easy loading and unloading of cargo. Choose the optional power liftgate with remote operation for convenient hands-free access to the rear cargo area. Moving inside, Acadia’s SmartSlide technology means one hand is all it takes to slide second-row seats forward for easy access to the third row. With its impressive shoulder and leg room—plus a host of premium amenities—Acadia truly responds to the way you live your life, satis- fying your desire for both comfort and personal space. 134024_02c_4.indd 1 7/10/09 8:33:05 PM

  7. 7. interior solitude Acadia’s interior is comfortable and quiet. Thanks to the strategic application of acoustic foam, refined engine dynamics—and even wiper blades designed for quiet operation—noise is kept to a minimum. Driver and front passenger benefit from available heated and cooled perforated leather-appointed seating surfaces, while tri-zone climate control (standard on SLT, avail- able on SLE models) allows for passenger comfort in all three rows. Steering-wheel-mounted controls mean one-touch opera- tion of the audio system and activation of hands-free calling, putting driving enhancements right at your fingertips. All Acadia sound systems include AM, FM and standard XM Radio2 with 3 trial months of service. Other choices include available Touch-Screen Navigation1 featuring a rearview camera display on the navigation screen. The system touch-screen navigation provides superb mapping capa- bilities with routes in 2-D or 3-D views on a 6.5-inch diagonal display with touch-screen control. It also features 3 trial months of XM NavTraffic service.3 Available 10-speaker bose® sound system with 5.1 surround sound audio Available heated and cooled SEATS Available real-time NAVTRAFFIC3 Available rear-seat entertainment system 1 Map coverage for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands available on separate disc. 8. 8. 06 _ seamless technology Acadia’s technology allows you to integrate your own Bluetooth phone for in-vehicle hands-free operation. Standard on SLE and SLT models, steering-wheel-mounted controls let you start a call and control volume, then dial by voice and listen to your call through Acadia’s audio sys- tem. After a quick setup, connection and disconnection occur automatically each time you enter or exit the vehicle. Available on SLE and standard on SLT models are sound systems featuring an integrated USB port. The port recharges your iPod® /MP3 player while it plays audio from the device through the sound system. Your play lists and folders show up on the sound system display, and you can operate the device with the sound system controls, includ- ing those on the steering wheel. Speaking of connectivity, a one-year OnStar Directions Connections2 plan is stan- dard on Acadia as well (see page 24). BLUETOOTH®1 AND USB connectivity 134024_06e_1.indd 1 6/25/09 10:59:44 AM

XM turns your drive on with commercial-free music channels from virtually every genre, artist-dedicated channels, live performances and more. Tune in to live play-by-play from the biggest sports, exclusive entertainment from top personalities, compelling talk, hilarious comedy, world-class news, local traffic and weather and family-friendly programming. Everything worth listening to is now on XM. Remote start (standard on SLE and SLT models) lets you start both the engine and climate control system from outside Acadia so it’s ready to go when you are—helping you stay cool as the mercury climbs and warm as it drops. Activation is by the key fob that also controls the remote keyless entry function and available power liftgate. remote start rearview camera system Acadia’s available rearview camera is designed to help you navigate a driveway or a parking space more effectively. Shift into reverse, and a view of what’s behind the vehicle is displayed in a portion of the rearview mirror. On SLT models, when Touch-Screen Navigation4 is ordered, the camera display is integrated into the NAV screen. The available Rear-Seat Entertain- ment System (shown on page 21) includes a rear-seat DVD player with remote control, overhead display, two sets of two-channel wireless infrared headphones (batteries included) and auxiliary audio/video input jacks, plus the 10-speaker Bose sound system with 5.1 Surround Sound audio. 11. 11. Acadia’s open floor plan reflects the very notion of what personal space should be—comfortable and inviting. Stadium seating, plus perceivable shoulder and leg room in the second and third rows give passengers a sense of autonomy usually reserved for the front seat. The seats are sculpted, contoured and fore-aft adjustable for greater comfort. Acadia also features open floor plan class-leading interior space,1 space you’ll notice when you’re ready to load passengers or cargo. And to keep things organized, Acadia has multiple storage spaces, includ- ing a large glove box, a bin above the instrument panel, numerous cupholders and spaces below the rear cargo floor and in the available second-row center console. 1 Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution. 134024_09f_2.indd 1 7/9/09 5:20:12 PM
  12. 12. 10 _ smart seats CLEVER SEATING ARRANGEMENTS With either of Acadia’s seating configurations, the SmartSlide system lets you slide the second-row seats forward with one hand (right) for easy access to the third-row seat. A second-row bench seat, standard on SL and available on other models, gives Acadia room for eight. For seven- passenger seating, choose available second-row captain’s chairs (shown) and you get a generous aisleway with even easier access to the third row. The contoured third-row seat has room for three adults, with 57 inches of shoulder room for unexpected comfort and room to move. Both second- and third-row seatbacks fold forward and lie flush, effectively creating a flat cargo area surface and 116.9 cubic feet1 of cargo-carrying potential. 1 Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and distribution. 134024_10g_2.indd 1 7/6/09 7:39:39 PM

There it mixes with incoming air from the intake manifold. Precise control of the fuel injection event improves combustion efficiency and reduces emissions, resulting in improved fuel economy1 and enhanced performance. 134024_14i_1.indd 1 7/21/09 8:33:00 AM
  17. 17. Direct-injection technology gives Acadia unsurpassed standard torque and more standard V-6 horsepower than any competitor in its class.2 When you need to accelerate—merging onto a busy highway, for instance—Acadia responds both immediately and smoothly. Along with the power to give you confidence in nearly any driving situation, Acadia also offers better highway fuel economy than any other eight- passenger SUV.3 Who says per- formance and fuel economy are mutually exclusive? 18. 18. 16 _ ride and handling THE ROAD WILL NEVER FEEL THE SAME The body-frame integral construction that makes getting in and out of Acadia easy also sets the stage for impressive road manners. It forms a rigid foundation that contributes to a smooth ride and permits traction-enhancing front-wheel drive. Acadia’s linked H-arm rear suspension system is state of the art, featuring twin tube shock absorbers, coil springs and forged-steel toe, camber and pendulum links. It mounts on an isolated cross-member subframe, which helps reduce cabin noise. The lower H-arms and knuckles are made from aluminum, reducing unsprung weight. Cross-axis ball joints enhance handling in evasive maneuvers. Together StabiliTrak, traction control, hydraulic rack-and-pinion steering and advanced suspension all help Acadia offer uncanny agility. 134024_16j_2.indd 1 7/6/09 8:04:16 PM
  19. 19. 40.4 turn radius / 118.9 wheelbase All-wheel drive An available electronically con- trolled on-demand AWD system helps Acadia offer outstanding ride and handling. It constantly monitors and adjusts torque quickly and seamlessly between front and rear wheels as neces- sary. In addition, it offers outstanding fuel efficiency.1 STABILITY CONTROL / TRACTION CONTROL STANDARD Helping to keep you firmly in control, the StabiliTrak stability control system is standard. It’s an engineering advance designed to improve safety, stability and control on most road surfaces. Sensors read the position of your steering wheel, vehicle speed, brake pressure, lateral acceleration and turning rate, and feed the data to an onboard computer. If your Acadia is not responding adequately to your steering input, the computer adjusts the engine speed and the brake pressure to any individual wheel to help you keep on track. With sensors that are programmed to proactively predict and help counteract vehicle tip-up on a flat road surface, StabiliTrak can even help to mitigate the chance of a rollover. 1 EPA-estimated mpg (AWD) 16 city/23 hwy. 134024_17j_2.indd 1 7/6/09 8:05:54 PM
  20. 20. ............................................................................................. PMS 427 18 _ safety PROFESSIONAL-GRADE ENGINEERING DEDICATED TO YOUR SAFETY AND SECURITY HIGH-STRENGTH STEEL CONSTRUCTION Acadia surrounds you with safety, before, during and, thanks to OnStar, even after a collision. It’s engineering that has earned the 2010 Acadia a five-star crash safety rating.1 It has a low center of gravity and a long and wide footprint for a secure stance. ABS, StabiliTrak and traction control are standard, and all-wheel drive is available. Should a crash occur, integral body-frame construction works to route and absorb impact. The 360° impact and rollover sensors strategically trigger the appropriate air bags.3 In rear impacts, retractor-mounted pretensioners help secure the driver and front passengers. Integral body-frame construction makes extensive use of high- strength steel on primary load paths. It also uses dual-phase steel three times stronger than carbon steel in key areas, taking advantage of this material’s ability to absorb the energy of crash forces. CRASH RATING tire pressure monitoring system Assesses tire pressure, alerting you in the Driver Information Center to a tire with low pressure. Does not monitor the spare tire. 2010 NHTSA FIVE-STAR FRONTAL and SIDE-IMPACT CRASH-TEST RATINGS; HIGHEST POSSIBLE1 5H onstar automatic crash response2 134024_18k_2.indd 1 7/6/09 9:08:32 PM
  21. 21. PMS 427 SIX AIR BAGS3 and PASSENGER SENSING SYSTEM ONSTAR2 AUTOMATIC CRASH RESpONSE Acadia comes with six air bags,3 two front dual-stage air bags and two side-impact air bags for the driver and front-seat passenger, and head curtain side air bags with rollover protection that function like a protective curtain, unfolding from the roof rail on each side. Activated by side- impact and rollover sensors, each curtain includes air bag sections for outboard front, second-row and third-row passengers. The front passenger air bag features a Passenger Sensing System. It uses a sensor within the front passenger seat to detect the weight of the occupant. Under a certain weight, the system auto- matically turns off the air bag. In a crash, built-in sensors around your vehicle can automatically send an alert to OnStar.2 An OnStar Advisor is immediately connected to your vehicle to see if you need help. Even if you’re unable to respond, the Advisor will use advanced GPS technology to pinpoint your exact location to direct emergency help—even in areas of limited cellular reception. The Advisor can also relay critical crash informa- tion to emergency responders, such as severity and type of crash, so responders are better equipped to treat you at the scene. With Automatic Crash Response, you can get the help you need even if you can’t ask for it. See page 24 or visit onstar.com for details. 1 Five-star rating is for the driver and front passenger seating positions in the frontal crash test and for the front and rear seating positions in the side-impact crash test. Side-impact crash test rating is for a model tested with standard head curtain Side-impact Air Bags (SABs). Government star ratings are part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA’s) New Car Assessment Program (www.safercar.gov). 2 Call 1-888-4ONSTAR (466-7827) or visit onstar.com for details and system limitations. OnStar acts as a link to existing emergency service providers. 3 Air bag inflation can cause severe injury or death to anyone too close to the air bag when it deploys. Always use safety belts and the correct restraint for your child’s age and size. Even in vehicles equipped with the Passenger Sensing System, children are safer when properly secured in a rear seat in the appropriate infant, child or booster seat. Never place a rear-facing infant restraint in the front seat of any vehicle equipped with a passenger air bag. See the Owner’s Manual and child safety seat instructions for more safety information. 134024_19k_2.indd 1 7/13/09 1:34:21 PM
