All rights reserved. 12 Preparing for a third party audit of your system To prepare for an audit, your managers should: • Become familiar with the documents for their area • Walk through the area for a spot check on operations • Ensure document control processes are being followed • Ensure the work areas are clean and orderly • Ensure past non-conformities have been fixed • Brief employees on how to interact with the auditors • Communicate a positive view about the audit
