Our clients have a deep understanding of their organisations’ strategic intentions – their “why”. We have observed that many of these organisations struggle in the gap between intentions and delivery – the how, what, when and who of delivering against strategic ambitions. Addressing this is all about designing practical programmes and projects, which will deliver the “why”. Programmes and projects need to have a clear, strategy aligned, benefits case. Executing change is about working in the detail of these projects to reliably deliver the business needs. It is about acting as the bridge between the business stakeholders and the technology implementation. BSG is a medium-sized, well established business and IT consulting firm with service capability from project inception through to implementation. BSG’s core skill is business analysis – bridging the gap between business and IT stakeholders. This enables BSG Business Analysts to play transformative roles on projects at all stages of the delivery lifecycle. Some of our recent work Angel Trains BSG enabled Angel Trains to make informed and objective decisions around a total technology replatform investment BSG’s involvement included detailed process work (as-is, opportunity identification and to-be) as well developing a high-level requirements catalogue in support of vendor selection RS Components BSG’s analysis facilitated a 20% shift of revenue from catalogue to website. The website serves 1.6 million customers across an inventory of 500k products BSG’s work involved analysis and design in search, navigation, cross-sell and customer messaging RS Components BSG broke down silos that existed between business and IT stakeholders enabling delivery of software that is much closer aligned to business expectations BSG’s work included adapting a delivery methodology to RS’ context, developing templates & training materials as well as ongoing coaching on using the methodology Siemens Financial Services BSG enabled SFS to realign their IT operation from a federalised structure to a Northern European pan-regional structure in order to take advantage of economies of scale BSG’s work included design of high-level processes, workshops with business unit heads to detail process implementation and a period of coaching to embed the change London based specialist private bank BSG enabled the bank to assess the impact of a new regulatory requirement in support of informed decision making around how to become compliant BSG’s analysis included a value chain aligned assessment of how FATCA legislation would impact each process step and initial recommendations / considerations for addressing gaps identified London Insurance Market BSG enabled the market to reduce capital adequacy modelling from a 1 day process to 1 hour process as well as introducing assessments of multiple models simultaneously BSG supported the project from a high level wishlist through design (requirements analysis) and undertook the development (offshore development)BSG is actively engaged in the UK Business Analysis community, www.bsgdelivers.compublishing practitioner insight and presenting at +44 20 7390 8674the International Institute of Business Analysis Business Systems Group (UK), Registered in England No. 6150570, 230 City Road, London, EC1V2TT
