  • 1. Welcometo the
    Strategy Workshop
  • 2. Vision
    Is what something will look like, how you see the future of the company in it
    It’s long term and stretches
    It’s almost unimaginable from where you are at the moment
    There’s only one!
    Example - To be the best tennis player the world has ever known
  • 3. Strategy
    This is the HOW of what we need to do to achieve the vision
    Strategies require the investment of time and resource
    Example – I will build my body to make me stronger and able to play and win longer matches
  • 4. Objectives
    Are milestones on the way to implementation
    S = Specific
    M = Measurable
    A = Achievable
    R = Realistic
    T = Time bound
    Example – I will win Wimbledon in 2011
  • 5. Tactics
    Are sub-elements of the strategy implementation
    Are short term
    Are variable according to circumstances
    Can be turned on and off
    Example – When I play Roger I will use my top spin cross court forehand to make the ball bounce higher than he likes
  • 6. AND REMEMBERIf you don’t know where you’re going, you won’t know when you’ve got there!
