    • Volume 28, Issue 3 HSCC Corner Congratulations to Our Graduating Seniors The chapter is proud of the HSCC alumni who are graduating from high school and pursuing their higher edu- cation. We congratulate the following seniors: Alan Rosales will be attending the University of Rochester Hajim School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and has received the Oracle BDPA scholarship and the 10 for 10 Scholarship amounting to $25,000 per year . He will be majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Pre-Medicine. He is also a recipient of our BDPA-NY chapter scholarship. Cazemba Richards will be attending Clarkson University Engineering and Management Program and has re- ceived the S-Stem Fellowship. He is also a recipient of our BDPA-NY chapter scholarship. Frantzy Jean Philippe will be attending Cornell University’s School of Engineering and has been awarded a scholarship from Cornell, a scholarship through the Gates Millennium Scholars Program, and is also a recipi- ent of our BDPA-NY chapter scholarship. He will be double majoring in Computer Science and Engineering. Kiara Paige will be attending Baruch College with a major in Computer Science and is also a recipient of our BDPA-NY chapter. Hamilton Chairperson of the Education Committee Time Warner “Engineering the World” Event On April 17, 2010 Time Warner sponsored an "Engineering the World" event. The event consisted of various topics in the morning related to Information Technology, a tour of Samsung Experience, hands on training in the production control booth, flash production (use of robotic cameras), and a look at being a reporter in front of the camera. The afternoon was an excellent experience for the youth and adults in attendance to see how technology is integrated in the production of CNN broadcasts. Champions Science Adventures Summer Camp Champions Science Adventures Summer Camp is a series of educational hands-on science summer pro- grams for children in grades 1-6. The summer day camp format allows children to participate in involved, multi-day projects such as constructing robots, building and launching model rockets, and engineering an electric race car.
