Client Needs
1) Must have multiple advertising options for banner and text links.
2) Must be able to offer a diverse range of advertising subscription options.
3) Must be easy to use for both potential advertisers and the web site administrators.

Advertisers
Potential advertisers can easily identify the numerous advertising options that are offered, and select site-wide, state, city, or free listings.

Advertising Options
Advertisers can select campaigns for single or multiple states, as well as 1 month to 1 year durations. All pricing data for the numerous advertising options is easily maintained by the site administrators.

Rates Administration
The site administrators use an intuitive interface to set advertising rates for the numerous state options. New plans can always be added with a single mouse click that opens a new option set in the same window.

City Selection
The web site is optimized to provide a superior user experience. For example, when an advertiser places a city ad, the site uses AJAX technology to present potential matches from all U.S. cities.
When a user browses state listings, the web site automatically displays all cities with active advertisers.

City Administration
While the site automatically displays all cities with active advertisers, in some cases it may be useful to also display cities with no advertisers. Administrators can use a ‘Show’ option to force any city to display.
All U.S. cities were pre-loaded to the system during development, and administrators can add or edit as needed.

Discount Code Administration
One strategy developed to entice new advertisers is the use of discount codes that allow for free advertising runs. For the administrators, it’s as easy as selecting an ad type, entering the desired code, and specifying a duration in months. Once added, the code is immediately available in the system.

E-mail Administration
The web site sends a variety of e-mail correspondence to advertisers, to include automatically notifying the advertisers when their ad is about to expire. Administrators have full control of the e-mail content, and can even insert dynamic data like the advertiser’s name, using a familiar text editor interface.

Page Administration
The web site features a full content management system, allowing administrators to edit any page with the text editor. This includes the ability to add images as well as text.
A time-saving feature built in to the system is a drag and drop interface to set the page ordering for the navigation menus.

Order Management
Site administrators can view all orders placed on the site, and edit order details in the case where an advertiser needs some assistance. Advertisers can also manage and edit their ads from the front end of the site.
Additionally, administrators can export all data to an Excel spreadsheet with one click.

Contact Us Administration
The web site even logs all Contact Us form submissions to the administrative interface, giving quick access to customer service and prospect inquiries.
Details include the date, name, e-mail address, message, and interest in advertising.

Project Completion
After <60 days of development the system was put through a rigorous testing phase by both the client and BCS. Bugs were corrected, and the web site went live in June, 2009.
