Winter BBQ Tips
1. BBQBarbecues Winter BBQ Tips
Winter is traditionally a time to settle down in front of the fire with the TV on and a big mug
of hot chocolate to keep you warm despite the frost the other side of the window.
Yet there's something about that crisp winter air that tempts you outside. This year, why not
give in to it and enjoy winter BBQs rather than the usual hot-pot indoors?
Think it's a crazy idea? Here are our top five reasons why a winter BBQ makes more sense
than you think:
1. Warmer winters
Due to the gradual change in our climate, winters are not as cold as they once were.
Temperatures now tend to be fairly comfortable in winter, making a winter bbq all the more
appealing.
And even if the temperature does plummet as you hold your Halloween barbecue, you can
still keep warm and cosy under a patio heater (if you don't already have one, now is the
ideal time to take a look round our online BBQ shop).
Patio heaters should be used responsibly and in conjunction with sensible warm clothing, so
wrap up well and you won't feel the cold.
2. Barbecue flavour
Whether it's a week night meal with friends, or a Sunday lunch with the family, it's the
perfect opportunity to try out that meal with a winter bbq. Highly-controllable gas
barbecues make it easy to do, and enhance the taste with that inimitable BBQ flavour.
3. More room in the oven
If you need more persuading to cook on the BBQ this winter, just think of all the extra room
you'll have in the oven. With your Bonfire Night burgers slowly cooking on the barbecue,
you can bake enough potatoes and desserts for all your guests without worrying how you'll
fit it all in.
4. Everybody takes part
When hosting an indoor event you will usually prepare all the food yourself, sometimes
missing out on the fun being had. A winter barbecue, on the other hand, is more social with
everybody helping in some capacity - whether it's preparing the drinks, helping carve the
pumpkin or supervising those with sparklers.
2. 5. Special atmosphere
And if you're still not convinced that winter barbecues beat staying indoors by the fire, think
back to last winter - many households follow the same routine week in week out, meaning
all your winter memories blur into one.
Whether it's Bonfire Night, Halloween, or just a get together with friends, moving outside to
the bbq this winter will make for an occasion that nobody will forget, creating a special
atmosphere all of its own.
