  • May2012May2013June July Aug Sept Oct Nov Dec Jan Feb Mar AprilTHREATENEDIn recent weeks, we have been troubled to see the Cambodiangovernment exerting unacceptable private and public pressure on RadioFree Asia to self-censor their reporting of issues sensitive to thegovernment. Instead of seeking corrections, or even pointing outspecific areas of purported inaccuracy to clarify their point of view forthe record, the government has once again resorted to threatening legalaction against the individual investigative reporters involved. Theconstant threat of litigation by a government, for politically sensitive butaccurate reports about the government, is not the hallmark of a freepress and is inconsistent with core democratic values.RFA journalists Cambodia @RadioFreeAsia
