  3. 3. Defuse emotions</li></ul>Staying Centered in the Midst of Chaos<br /><ul><li>Take time to be and feel: meditate, breathe deeply, focus on your body
  4. 4. Stop, step back, pay attention to what is going on
  5. 5. Refocus on first principles and goals: what are you trying to accomplish?</li></ul>Resilience<br /><ul><li>Create a passionate vision to help you keep coming back
  6. 6. Engage in good self-care to support your persistence
  7. 7. Discipline: work toward your goal X hours every day.</li></ul>Self-Esteem<br /><ul><li>Develop self-awareness: where are feelings of low self-esteem coming from?
  8. 8. Engage in self-care to help you feel worthwhile. Forgive yourself. Remember, “Yesterday was a long time ago.”
  9. 9. Take that first step toward your desired goal, however small, and build on it incrementally.</li></ul>Flexibility<br /><ul><li>Experiment, even in a small way, to do something differently
  10. 10. Role play alternative perspectives
