Whose Garden Is It? by Mary Ann
Hoberman
Very Cute Book!
The gardener says the garden belongs to him. But the woodchuck insists
that its his. And so do the rabbit, the butterfly, the squash bug, and the
bumblebee. Even the tiny seeds and whistling weeds think the garden just
couldnt grow without them. As they stroll through the exquisite plants and
flowers, Mrs. McGee and her child listen and wonder: Whose garden is it?
Childrens book luminaries Mary Ann Hoberman and Jane Dyer
reveal the secrets of a glorious garden in this beautiful and poetic rhyming
read-aloud.
Personal Review: Whose Garden Is It? by Mary Ann Hoberman
I bought "Whose Garden Is It?" for my grandchildren, but fell in love with it
myself. It offers a great opportunity to ask questions of children as you
read to them, and makes adults stop and think how all of nature is
interwoven. When I showed the book to my Master Gardener friends,
many of them bought a copy for themselves. The book's artwork is
beautifully done with big bold colors.
