The Story of Ruby Bridges taught me about the history we have. It told me about the way people used to live. African-Americans struggled through this time
    2. period because white people refused to see them as real people. The Story of Ruby Bridges made me see what Ruby went through, and how she was so brave to pray for those people and ask God to help them see pass the end of their own noses. Many people think that only the words in books are important, but the pictures are too! It is true that words can paint pictures in your mind, but some people get the wrong perspective. The book's illustrations took me to that time period. I felt like I was there, with those people trough the whole book. This story showed me the past's mistakes, now all we have to do, is make sure they don't happen again. The Ruby Bridges story, in summary, is about an African-American girl who is going to a white school and the whole book tells about how Ruby handled her situation well. Any history lover will love this book. ~~~:)) Tory DME For More 5 Star Customer Reviews and Lowest Price: The Story Of Ruby Bridges (Scholastic Bookshelf) by Robert Coles 5 Star Customer Reviews and Lowest Price!
