Thats My Son: How Moms Can Influence Boys to Become Men of Character by Rick Johnson - Presentation Transcript

    1. Thats My Son: How Moms Can Influence Boys to Become Men of Character by Rick Johnson Every Woman Should Read Why are boys so different? Why would a trip to the garbage dump be such a highlight in a boys life? What do boys need to learn in order to become good men? A mothers influence on her sons is unique and valuable, but still sometimes moms dont understand what makes their boys tick. They want to help their sons grow up to become men of honor and integrity, but thats a tremendous challenge. With refreshing honesty and a mans insight, author Rick Johnson offers the advice, understanding, and support every mom is looking for when it comes to raising godly sons. Using extensive research and humorous personal experiences, he addresses tough issues, such as communication, discipline, sexuality, and respect. Mothers, including single moms as well as grandmothers and teachers, will find wise counsel and reassurance in this practical and helpful book.
    2. Personal Review: Thats My Son: How Moms Can Influence Boys to Become Men of Character by Rick Johnson Every woman should read Rick Johnson's That's My Son. This book is an invaluable help to women from all walks of life--whether they are mothers or not. A great deal of Rick's book is about some of the same issues/differences between males and females that most of us have heard, studied, or read about, but he puts his presentation in such a way that just reaches out and grabs the reader's attention. His personal anecdotes are true attention getters--I have read many books on this subject, had counselling regarding being a single mother raising two sons, but if a single mother of sons didn't read but one book on the subject, Rick's would be the book to read. Whether or not a woman is a mother, she will learn over and over from Rick's book how the differences between males and females can be not only better understood, but can be embraced and respected. Again, this is a must-read for all women.
