Personal Review: Summer Pleasures: Second NatureOne
Summer by Nora Roberts
This was originally published in 1986, but it was re-released in 2002, when
I discovered it. With this, I admit this was my first Nora Roberts read.
Wow. I was hooked from the first page. I have read Second Nature many
times over and over.
Roberts' ability to show contrast within a character's psyche, appearance,
expectation is superb.
I also enjoyed the second part of this volume, One Summer, but it was
Second Nature that hooked me.
I have read several others of Roberts, and have the utmost respect for this
highly talented, prodigious author in two genres.
Superb.
It was amusing for me to note that not all the reviews I read here were so
positive.
That only speaks to the ultimate nature of book reading and individual
tastes.
A sure winner for me.
