I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but someone recommended it to me, and I bought it for less than $1. To be honest, I was wondering what a short, relatively plain woman would have to learn from a successful model/businesswoman. Still, I respected her for being a Christian in an industry where Christians aren't exactly plentiful. Worth a shot, right?
It's well-written, probably a combination of Ireland and her co-author. As she tells her story, I find myself identifying with her. Me, a 37 yo SAHM, identifying with a woman of Ireland's ilk. She makes you realize that, no matter who we are or God's place for us in this lifetime, we are all God's children and equal in His sight. These chapters are good lessons for reminding us some essential truths about Christianity, reminding me of some of the basics--faith, selflessness, family, and that God is always faithful, always there for us.
This book is a very good read, a good tool for nurturing/reinvigorating/starting your faith.
