My 5 year old daughter's first reaction was..... "where are the colorful
pictures- I do not want to read with out the colorful pictures....." Then she
gave it a try and enjoys this set so much, that she even brings them in the
car to read to her little brother. When read in sequence, the words get a
little longer and a little more challenging. To see her smile and tell me
"how easy it is to read" is worth not having bright illustrations!!!
